you mentioned the thread as a whole, so the OP probally thought you were talking about him too.
i barely read the OT sorry i was talking abotu the kid beign a dick to curlers when he squats 140. which by the way is the most pathetic squat ever so dont talk shit.
Bro how old are you cause 700 is a shit load squat suite or not…It took me till I was 21 to get a raw over 600 squat and I weight around 250. I mean if you can get it hell of a job man get into power lifting.

I set my goals real high, I’m 16 now and if I don’t meet my goal than I’ll keep pushing for it till I do. I’ll continue to eat all the time and gain weight (muscle/fat/whatever else there is).

Bingo!
When I first started lifting when I was 17 I had the weakest bench ever. I could barely throw up 100 pounds. I didnt know shit about proper training, all I knew was that by the end of the semester I WAS going to be able to bench 200lbs.
I worked harder in those 4 months than Ive ever worked in my life, and on the last day of school (I took a weightlifting class) I walked into the weight room ready to knock someones head off and did 200.
Your mentality is totally on point. Your progress is probably going to stall and plateau for a while on your way to 700, but just keep pushing because you WILL get there.
The unwaivering drive you have to get there will be your saving grace.
2 years…not possible IMO. 300 pounds is good for a beginner but things don’t just keep rising liek they do in the begining. go for soemthing more realistic like 500.

Lately I’ve been developing a squating fetish (going more towards a powerlifting physique rahter than a body building one). I was just wondering what do you guys squat currently/goals?
My stats:
Height: 5’9’’
Weight: 160 (I know, I’m starting to eat a shitload more so hold off on the “Drink milk and squat” quotes).
Weight Squatting: 300lbs for 6 reps (gonna try to go for 8 reps next time) with a wide stance and all the way down =)
I want to hit 700lbs max by the time I’m 18 ;)
Budlight you are the first to jump on a lot of people’s cases, granted the kid squatting 140 was warranted. What are you squatting now? I know you are just about 200lbs so I was curious what your levels were.
For me I’m 185 and parallel box squat 350 for 3 reps. I figured you would ask in your next reply so I included my stats.

375 for 8. i have never went for big weight so i dont know my 1rm. i get on peopels cases casue im bored any people say some stupid stuff. the kid squats 140 but hes going to yell at someone in a squat rack for curling? if that makes sense then my world is backwards, someone should yell at the kid for not tryign to squat.

I am shitting you, hence the winking smiley. 500 is more like it if anything though. It’s going to be hard but I’ll give it all I got.
