Luckiest trainer ever.
I was just about to post this exact same thing… But I am that lucky trainer. She’s young, she squeals and she moans…

When we do focus pads… . it’s awesome.
Even when I stretch her, she still does it.

It was pretty awesome but after a little while it was just too much to handle. I couldnt concentrate and thought I was going to drop some dumbbells on my head or something

I’m confident and get called cocky plenty so I understand the issue there with that. That being said, you’re not acting confident or cocky, simply being a douche. Personally if you tried to do any of that list of things you posted earlier at my gym, I’d slap the shit out of you. And yes, I was in a fraternity.
I just think its funny how we have 4 threads complaining about it and when I talk about my attempts at getting rid of it, I’m called a douche. A little hypocritical? As far as your, or anybody elses gym goes, if you have retarded squat-rack-curl type shit going on, except it to happen. After all, its not like your doing anything about it. On the other hand if your training in a serious gym w/a serious environment, your safe. I don’t understand whats so hard to understand about that. Maybe I need to slap the shit out of you to help get it in your head? lol
Yes, some of your antics MIGHT encourage people to leave the gym, but only the people who are too timid to seek out advice or anything like that. The people who are doing it out of ignorance rather than ego. You will never get an actual douche out of the gym by doing it, only annoy them and possibly pick a different time to come in.

On the other hand, if you took a plate off a bar for some lifts and people, you could kill or seriously hurt them. If you take a plate off the left side of my bar when I go to do squats or lunges and I fully unrack the bar, then you’ll probably take me out of the gym for a few months due to me not being able to walk.
I got some of the pricks out of the gym but not all. If they came back at a later time (or earlier) I really don’t care, as long as they weren’t there when I was there.

Are you being a douche and doing 1/8 rep squats? Or step-forward-slight-leans? If you are, I fucking hope you get hurt and don’t come back to the gym for a while. Learn proper training form and etiquette and then come back.

If not, what are you worried about? Didn’t you read the whole thread?
No, I do full squats. I do, however, have a problem with my right knee when I have heavy and unbalanced loads that overstress my right side. I never said anything about squatting with the load, I only said UNRACKING THE BAR. I’ve felt my knee tweak when I’m off-center of the bar on heavy days.

And really? You’re going to attack me for saying that you could cause someone permanent injury? I’m suddenly a shitty, stupid lifter because I HAVE A GOD DAMN PROBLEM WITH MY KNEE? Fuck you, jackass, you just proved that you’re just a giant douchebag that does things because he doesn’t fear retribution. I hope you get shot, you fucking loser.

Or maybe the guys who lifts the most weight in your gym saw you doing curls in the squat rack was trying to teach you a lesson. Watch out, 'cause he might walk up and ask if you’re using the weight you are using and say, “not anymore” and walk off with it.

Actually my new gym is pretty cool. Although the training partner issue still remains, there are much, MUCH less squat rack curlers. We actually have personal trainers here and they are usually always occupied with clients. Not sure if they are giving them good routines or not, but at least they are attempting to help them learn something. The regular clientele have gotten to know me over the past month and there are a couple of monsters in there (over 500 lb dead lifter comes to mind) just like my old gym, but again my peer-group is lacking. At least they aren’t squat rack curlers and take their training seriously.

Good for you. While you were in high school lifting weights, I was probably touring internationally. I’m sure if I got a quicker start I’d be lifting more by now, but priorities change over time. Whats wrong with spelling things properly? I took english courses for years to spell things the right way and now I’m getting called a troll for doing so? Make some sense please? lol

a SRC’er is NOT putting other people in harm’s way, so to put them in harm’s way (removing plates from their bars) is a complete bitch move of you. I can’t stand people that chew loudly all the time, but if somebody does that I’m not gonna slip poison in their food. At this point in the strength game, you need to complain about other people less, and start putting in more hard work yourself. Actions speak louder than words.
H4m, thanks. Your post makes sense. I figure I’m right around the middle ground of the two extremes you mentioned. Plus it seems over here action as I’ve taken is frowned upon, which is also news to me. I didn’t see what I did as a bitch move because where I’m from its what would’ve have been expected/normal. Hence why my confusion as to all the complaining but no action taking place.

Thank you for clearing this up, to put it plainly.

"Got to the gym at a decent time! Trained alone again (as usual unfortunately). I’d say we really need a good strength gym here but then again most of these guys are weak as shit!

Bench Press - hooked up the power rack and blasted the fuck out of this.

155 x 10, 7, 5, 6"
Where am I talking shit? Again, you dont make any sense. Its true about opening a strength training facility, there would be like 3 or 4 members total.

No one uses the power rack at my gym it seems. It’s always available whether I need to bench, pull, squat, row, shrug, etc…

Again, no sense at all. Good job trying to talk shit.

So this guy preaches about squat depth, yet can somehow squat “deep” more than he can deadlift?!?

Methinks something is not right with this picture…
If you read my log you’d see my grip strength is a limiting factor. Also, I started deadlifting only recently whereas I’ve trained my squat over a longer period of time. Also flexibility on the squat was a big issue for me and it took a lot of work to fix, so of course I’m going to preach about it. If I could do it so can you!

Whats wrong with the picture? You assumed too much?

Weakling. Interesting. Meanwhile I can’t find a training partner due to everyone else being weak as shit. While I’ll be the first to admit I’m not an elite level power lifter, except for a handful of guys above my age group, I’m out lifting and out growing the majority of guys around my age, even after basically starving and eating horribly for an extended period of time (lets not forget the multiple bouts of de-training!). Nothing going for me?

I’ve basically fulfilled my initial career path, theres nothing left to do with it. Success.
Lived in different countries, experienced different cultures (still an ongoing success)
Been to Disney World for the first time in my life last year. (Major goal/major success!)
Learned and mastered the english language. Success.
Married my “high school sweetheart”. Success.
Have my own place. Success.
Own a luxury automobile. Success.
Enjoy my work. Success.
Have free reign over my life. Success.

Even after abandoning school I went back and got a bachelors degree. Success, especially considering my immense disdain for it.

I disagree. Everyone has the right to an opinion, however, so I’m not going to get upset if you feel this way. On the other hand, I don’t really mind or care if one of them got injured permanently or not. Different morals/ethics/justice system at play here.

-You are a fucking jackass if you really remove plates to have a bar loaded unevenly, and let the person put themselves in peril.

Jackass to some, hero to others.

-THAT IS THE FUCKING POINT dumbass. Not that you are trying to “rid the gym of idiots.”

It is one thing to come on here, with your chest puffed out like king shit and post words, it is another to purposely put people in a position to hurt themselves.

Absolutely agree. As I’ve said before we have 4 threads of complaints, I simply shared my method of disposing of some of it.

-I would venture to guess anyone that has actually made any progress will agree with me here. You are picking on people weaker and smaller than you, wow cool dude. You intentionally try and hurt people, wow cool dude. You think you are so superior you can fuck up someone else’s (who doesn’t give a fuck about you) workout, sometimes in a dangerous way, because their goals aren’t the same as yours?

Weaker could be argued but smaller is not the case. Many times I’ve noticed larger dudes making the same mockery of working out, and by the same token, have seen larger guys lift less than I. It was a little bit of an eye-opening experience at the time, but I’ve learned since then. But I didn’t discriminate.

To be honest the younger, almost skinny kids at the gym (teenage/high school crowd) really seemed into training and enthusiastic and would ask for help as far as checking form, getting a spot, and exercise selection. I love helping people out (I’m in the industry now) and don’t mind getting questions at all. Intentionally trying to hurt people I’m going to have to disagree.

I know myself and the older guys would always double check the weights we have on our bars for a couple of different reasons, and we all made progress. The ones who didn’t are the ones who were fucking around in the first place. There were some occasions where the uneven bar WAS checked and the person would balance it out. In the same breath, if someone DID get hurt, I’m not going to lose sleep over it.

I didn’t have any superiority issues, and was always willing to play “rookie” to the strong guys. I’ve already named names here but one guy in particular sticks out in my head, he gave me the name in the first place. My issue is if I’m trying to do squats and someone is using the rack and bar for curls, get the fuck out of the gym. I wouldn’t expect you to understand that though. The difference is I HAVE goals, whereas the squat-rack-curlers didn’t.

“Hey, lets go to the gym just so we can say we go to the gym! I’m down for curling 55 for 5 sets, what do you guys think?”

“Fuck yeah! It hasn’t done shit for my guns yet but maybe eventually it will!”

“Woot and we can use this new routine in this Flex magazine article.”

“Yeah, and lets use the foam-back-pad thing on the bar so if we curl and the bar hits out chest, it won’t hurt as much!”

Major bro high-5 session!

How many sets do you have left?

“Oh we just started, I got 4 and hes got 5, and him too, and yo how many you doin? 5? Alright yea hes got 5 too.”

Fuck that. Do your curls elsewhere.

-You are a toolshed, stop justifying stupid actions and picking on people smaller than you.

I’m not sure on the toolshed comment. I’m good with my hands, am into powertools, and do all the maintenance work around my house? I was explaining my actions hoping you would understand, but as a squat-rack-curler I see that my talk falls on deaf ears. And the picking on people smaller than me I’ve already addressed.

And now, to end with the usual internet tough guy bullshit- If I see you doing any squat-rack-curl type bullshit, I’m going to slap you with a plate.

Way out of context. I never attacked you. I didn’t say anything negative about unracking a bar, anywhere. I totally hear you on the knee tweaking, and it does suck. My point was if your in the gym just to fuck around and “do weights” (which your clearly NOT) I mock “hoped” you would get hurt. Since its OBVIOUS (I thought to the point where it didn’t have to be mentioned) you take your training seriously, of course I wouldn’t want something bad to happen to you, hence the “If not, what are you worried about?
