^^ seriously. There is nothing wrong with saying “hey man do you mind moving over a little bit?” I’m sure he would have moved over without a problem. He was a young kid and probably didn’t know any better.

I did a lot of random shit before leaving my last gym just to piss of the owner, haha i remember doing push presses from the back without pants, then i took my shirt off and deadlifted like crazy, ran around the gym screaming stupid things haha. One of the best days of my life.

There’s one guy at my gym that comes in regularly, he looks like a trust fund kid with Oakley Shades and iTouch. Now the gym I go to is an Elite gym and costs a decent amount, $25 if you get discount, $30 if you don’t.

Anyways this guy comes in regularly and proceeds with his circuit:
Hanging legs raises with elbow supports
Crunches
Leg lifts on the powerlifting bench
Weighted ab push downs
Then to finish he always grabs a 45 lb plate and rotates left and right standing with it.

I thought maybe it was his ab/cardio day but no… this is his regular routine and I’ve seen him do it multiple days in a row.

so im set up for RDLs and theres a trio of Guys in the squat rack with the bar loaded with a whopping 132 and the pussy pad. 2 of these dudes are 6ft or so the other is about 5’1. the two tall guys proceed to do 1, yes ONE 1/2 squat and bail out. then shorty, who only ever does Bench and curls (and the wrist roller but uses too much weight and alot of english), proceeds to claim when he trained legs he could do 3 plates a side thats 290lbs. i was mid rep on the RDL and nearly faceplanted when my bullshit alarm went off.
sadly he did not try any form of squat and they walked off to the bench leaving the bar

just to be a douche i went over ripped off the pussy pad, banged out 15 solid ATG reps with the trio watching, unloaded the bar then left.
i’m only 5’7 and 170lbs but i just love showing up people who spout bullshit… if only i could actually lift 290

Today was fairly special in terms of bros in the gym. My friend and i walked in and you could tell there would be some silly shit going on due to the 2 crowds of bros around the two Benches. 1 Frees up and we proceed to do dynamic bench work from Tates 6 week bench press cure. I think i’d just finished my last set when i look over and see one of them benching 80kg, to a good few inches above his chest and is struggling, he then proceeds to go all the way down to his chest as he failed, his spotter then literally performing a bent over row with lots of cheating to get the bar up, so is clearly doing the vast majority of the work.

However he then decides to go for another rep, which effectively ends up with the guy benching spotting the dudes bent over row. This is to be expected as i train at a health club etc with decent equipment but complete fucking idiots. What i honestly thought i’d never see though is one of the bros from their brocrew peel off, fetch a half bosu ball, proceed to spend 2 minutes trying to balance on it, tentatively bend over and pick up what i believe were 10 kg dumbells and doing them for god knows how many reps. He wasnt doing it in the squat rack, but he was standing behind the squat rack to look in the mirrow while he was doing it. I lost all faith in my gym tonight.
