I do close grip chins in the squat rack because it has a chin bar.
But I don’t see a problem with Squat Rack Curls. Just as long as you’re curling 225 so people who want to share the rack with you won’t be slowed down anymore than if you were doing squats.
At least you aren’t doing this: there’s one kid at my high school’s gym who puts dimes on each side of the 25lb EZ-Curl bar and takes up one of the Olympic lift platforms to do curls.

Funny part is that whenever I do curls at the rack, there is like 4 other power racks free and not being used, so I thought why not. It’s a nice and quiet place anyway, hell, I think I’ll just bring a bench over and do my whole workout there.
