Nice steady state cardio work out. Reminds me of an oscillating cuckoo cuckoo clock.[/quote]
I donāt know why but this reminded me of the Elizabeth Berkley sex scene in showgirls. I wonder if that is what this girl is like in bed and the motion just comes natural to her?
My brother could be the poster child for this Forum.
He benches with his feet up on the bench and his ass off the bench, effectively turning it into a decline. He incline presses in the Smith Machine doing maybe 1/2 rom. When he finishes he calls me and tells me how much weight he was lifting. He bought Insanity and now thinks everything they do there is the best.
Oh yeah. He has invisilats to.
I think he just has little man syndrome and is afraid to really gain weight. He is my big brother but I am much bigger than him and much stronger.
iāve been seeing a lot of āpush-upsā (read: floor humping) at my gym latelyā¦

Normally you have to pay extra for that.

I see that too, now that movement is 4th most popular in my gym, (golds manchester nh)
figure bicep curls in mirror number 1, shrugs in mirror 2nd most popular, ab machine 3rd.
i hate my gym
The gym has been officially overrun with the bench/curl/abz routine crowd. Ahhh summer is almost here.

Ahh, so shrugs are now stupid, worthless, and only for retards.
So now I have: Curls, pushups, situps, and shrugs.
Alright! Thanks for keeping me up to date guys!

I actually have not done shrugs in a while but need to start. The d-bags completely ruined that lift though by turning it into an ego lift. Basically anytime I see a large amount of weight on a bar at the gym or the heaviest dumbells being picked up I watch to see if its going to be a cool lift, nope its just shrugs.

Certain exercises are great as part of a good program. However, some stupid retards misuse them - either by using too much weight with shit form, doing the exercise too much, or doing them entirely out of context to their goals. The most common offenders are curls, pushups, situps, and shrugs.

All of which can be performed in a squat rackā¦

Went to assist a lady friend in her set of squats, yes REAL A2G squats, return to do speed pulls, and find that the 35 plate on one side has mysteriously disappeared
is that a recreation? or do you film your entire workout?
saw a guy doing curls, his pants started around below his ass and as he was curling they were falling down, when they hit his knees he was squeezing his legs to stop them but would not stop curling for the death of his mother.
I have a dumb question. Its ok, Iām a girl. So yesterday dude was deadlifting a good amount of weight I couldnāt really tally it because he mixed up all sizes of plates lik 45 35 45 10 25 10 on each side thatās not exact but it was something like that. At the top of the lift sometimes heād work the lockout and sometimes he would SHRUG the whole bar up not in the lockout. Like pull the DL up, not lockout completely, then SHRUG. Is that a thing? He was strong and built and deadlifting right otherwise.

Sounds like a clean deadlift & shrug: http://www.ironmind.com/ironmind/opencms/Lifts/Clean_deadlift_and_shrug.html (http://bit.ly/h9jC5i)
Yesterday in the gym I witnessed: Quarter squatting in the smith machine w/ 3 plates per side, Awkward Asian almost throwing his back out while trying to use the preacher curl with 3 plates loaded, two 120 lb guys doing wrist curls with a 20 lb barbell, and every curl variation imaginable performed by the Bro Squad.
Today: these kids bring in a laptop, go to a corner, start playing the Insanity (like P90X, but more hardcore⦠or something), and the start doing the workout. Then they start fast forwarding to a different part, do that, rewind, fast forward, skipping through random exercises. Then they played the from Jay to Z Jay Cutler DVD and started doing random parts of his workouts.
Bizarre.
+1 on shrugs becoming the new curls.
saw some dude load up 405 on the bar and sorta do a 1-inch shrug with it off the pins for 3 reps or so.
straps of course. then heād walk around sporting the āfuck yeahā look.
