i went to the gym, and I saw a young kid (15-17) doing OHP and Deadlifts, I almost passed out in amazement
At the college gym, we have 1 olympic platform and 2 power racks. The biggest kid in the gym was on the platform cleaning and overhead pressing around 225 lbs with great form. A little skinny kid in a boxing club t-shirt starts bugging him about when he’s going to finish and how much time he’s got left. He answers “10 minutes” so the skinny kid decides to sit there, wait and watch impatiently. The big dude finishes the skinny kid grabs his jump rope, steps on the platform and jumps rope for about 3 minutes. He finishes and walks off.
WTF? We have an entire empty gymnasium at the college. You can do whatever the fuck you want in there. I was thinking maybe he was waiting to do some Olympic lifts or deads since the other power racks were open if he wanted to squat or SRC. But jumping rope? Best. Ever.
Maybe he mistook the Olympic Platform for a performance stage?

Haha. I’ll admit he was good with the jump rope but it baffles me he would wait 10 minutes to do it there of all places. Picture a college size empty basketball court; that was his other option.
Again with the shitty ROM on bench press day. And its always a group of dudes together. The two today were def. partners in more than the lifting partners sense. But why load up 285 to do 1/3 ROM? Just stick with a weight you’re capable of.
I think I figured it out though. Men’s Health must have ran an article stating that all you need is a few inches ROM on benching. That explains the epidemic I’ve been seeing.
Am I a dick if I ask these guys when they are going to do some benching that counts?

Witnessed the most horrendous clean and press form today. Feet were together, taking the leg drive completely out of the movement. I saw little trap contraction and instead the weight was pulled up the body using all the retard strength this mongoloid could muster. Instead of squatting down to catch the weight, he arched his back in an obscene fashion and from there use a subtle push press to get the weight up over his head. Total weight being used, 105 lbs…And then his training partner did the exact same, but with 65 lbs.
Flat Bench, guy had 135 lbs on it, and promptly lifted his ass very HIGH, for the entire set, each set.
then moved to incline bench, and lifted his ass so much he removed the incline, his hips were almost as high as his chest

There’s this dummy who does incline bench/db press sometimes. He arches the shit out of his back which end up putting his chest at a flat bench position anyway. Oh Yeah, It was me.
