I tried your split and loved it.It has enough volume but leaves me fresh.Also I am motivated to hit each lift as hard as possible, since there’s not a ton of exercises
1 question is, how do you recommend I progress?Should I start with the fewer sets and add more as the weeks go by, or just try to add reps/weight?
That’s great to hear!
Depends on wether or not you have enough time to do multiple sets a few weeks down the line and how well you can add weight just by linear progression: if you have enough time and progress isn’t a given I’d recommend trying double progression (working from, say, 3x4 to 4x6 with the same weight before increasing).
If you don’t have that much time and don’t progress just by adding weight week to week you could start at, say 3x6 and work to 3x8 before increasing.
If you can just add weight from week to week I’d max that out first, before playing with reps and sets.
Remember that you may be able to just add weight to one exercise but need more complex programming for others
