Split Training Schedule

I went in the past three times to a gym and the first time i had a so called split schedule. So i trained two or three muscle groups at one time.

What do you think is the best? To train with a split schedule or with a schedule for all muscle groups?

Iā€™m flattered you ask; thank you! I think itā€™s best at the start to hit multiple kinds of motions per session, add work sets as needed to continue progress by whatever metric youā€™re interested in, and let the total workload split itself up through the week as the work needed for progress outpaces your session to session recovery. Other more accomplished people would comment better for your own situation if you say what your particular starting point and future goals are, though.
