nice squats.
Raw might be fun, you can use knee and wrist wraps?[/quote]
Just wrist wraps, no knee wraps. If I get neoprene knee sleeves, I can use those.
Brute, this meet just caught me a bit unawares. It will be all good and fun, and it’s always a relief to go raw and not have to worry about wraps and straps and timing.
Haha, thanks guys, but I’m going to be doing this meet under an assumed name so no one can see how badly things go.
Benched to a single at 155 yesterday, it was really ugly. My front delts were sore as hell from some stuff I did Tuesday night, and I panicked a little coming off the chest.
deads are what you come home to for dessert after a night of sloppy drunk debauchery, but if you beg squats hard enough they’ll always take you back the next day
I know you squat more than you dead and I’m the exact opposite. About the knee sleeves, have you ever used them before? I’m wondering what kind of a gain you think you get. I’m thinking about ordering some Tommy Kono ones.
Ksnap and PMPM, as far as what you get from knee sleeves, its all personal. Just get the best brand you can…exertec, or reban. Some people find they get something out of them, some don’t. I know I get a bit out of them not because they are tight, but because I feel more confident and comfortable with a light knee wrap on, and just feeling something on my knees helps me abit.
And even if you don’t do well at the meet, which you will, you will still have the sexies legs there.

Yeah, I’ve used the woven knee sleeves (which are now not “raw”) and never felt like I got pop out of them, but I just felt more secure.
I haven’t been squatting with anything like that, tho, so I doubt I will try to work them in this close to the meet. Maybe for Raw Nats.

I only squat more equipped. Do you deadlift more equipped and raw?
I DL way, way more both raw and equipped. The gear has closed up the gap a wee bit. And maybe if I start squatting in an actual squat suit rather than a third-hand DL suit, the gap will narrow even more!
Well young Wonder Women you’ve trained and know the rules. Nothing left to do but go have some F(â?¬!ng fun!!! Oh next year if you go for no other reason than the USAPL & Con-Create meet at the Arnold. It’s worth the trip alone. Fantastic lifts PMPM you would have loved it except when Arnold and Sly Stallon walked in to watch and an extra 100 people came in it was the fastest meet I’d ever seen.
Oh I’m partial to TK bands Keep your knee warm I can go up to 600 before I even think about wraps with them on.
This morning, I did good mornings, GHRs, OHPs, some bottom ROM DB chest pressing, weighted dips, weighted planks.
Then, I bought way too much crap at the grocery store and pet store. Last night, I was “pretend shopping” on victorias secret and clicked the one-click purchase button thinking it would tell me what I would have to do to set that up.
Looks like I’d previously set that up. I’ve got two dresses, a sweater, and some underwear on the way. Ooops.
I bet it gets here faster than the damn Prowler. I keep meaning to call them…this shouldn’t take this long.
Tonight, I hooked up with my old colleague who will be moving to Michigan at the end of the month. We made cards. I was vaguely crafty.
