there are two parks near me that have jungle gyms- for people to work out in
one is a few blocks in the LES the other is a park with a track on the FDR drive-
I see these guys there from time to time doing tricks,
they have got me to do try some crazy shit when Im there-
both vids have one arm chins in there somewhere…
this is the one on the FDR drive with the track
this is the one a few blocks from the apartment- dude does the one arm chin at 3.45
they are looking for more people in the posse- so you can do it,
OB_S too
1.5 one armed pullups…yet another weird thing to work on.
Ass hurts.
Damn, single-arm pullups? I can do pullups alright but single-arm sounds impossible - any tips for how one might work up to doing them? (also, can you do them with both arms?)
I was okay with my right hand, but had no chance with my left hand. I stole the idea from Ouroboro_s. Interestingly, my grip/ripping callouses were the hardest part of the left hand attempt, and I never knew I might have a weak grip.
They are actually easier than they look, since it is really a two-handed pullup - you hold onto your pulling wrist with the other hand. Still, it scares old ladies, and Flow.

Yeh, I thought they looked awesome, and then I rocked a couple to show N, and he was all, “Pfff, that’s cheating.” Pfff… my butt… well, at least my husband is a cynic and not a bro-tard.

I worked Nationals all day Friday and then for the morning session today. I missed Saturday. It was fun. I love boys who deadlift without shirts. mind wanders
The coach took second place to a kid 25 years his junior. Coach was close to winning, but missed his third DL and Sq. If I’d have been there, I would’ve tripped the kid to ensure coach’s victory.
I might be going to the NAPF/IPF Pan-Am in August in Miami. Coach says it is a fun meet, and I should do it instead of Raw Nats (the week before the Pan-Am). I’ll go if I get a job. Firebug says I should go, job or not, but I’m not the kind of girl who can be so relaxed.
Firebug is also responsible for finding me a handler for that meet…
Yeah, I would love to go to Raw Nats to hang out with the coach and everyone, but he was really into the Pan Am instead. Anyway, everything is hypothetical right now. I might still be out of work/stripping by then.
My interview went well this morning, this is a place I think I could work. crosses fingers
Today: climbed 2.5 hours. Tomorrow, we’ll see about maybe going for a squat max, depending on how I feel.

There will be plenty of help at the meet…trust me on this one will ya! And it is a great time. Glad to hear that your interview went well this morning.
Yesterday, Bench: 12x45, 6x95, 3x135, 3x155, 3x3x160, 3x3x135. All reps paused on chest, except a couple of the third reps in the 160 sets.
Push Press: 8x65, 3x6x95
Kroc Rows: 3x10x90, 95, 100
My left elbow is hurting, I smacked it on the wall climbing. I ditched dips because I could barely support myself for a bodyweight dip. I wore a knee sleeve on the elbow through the workout and that helped, then ice and Advil helped more.
6/18
Squats 6@135 3@225 suit bottoms belt 1@275 suit up 1@315 all 1@355 1@375 walkouts 5@1@405 belt wrists
One legged leg press 3@10@90+sled
Regular leg press 90+sled x 10, 180 x 10, 270 x 10, 360 x 10, 180 x 30
Front squats cleaned from floor due to crossfitter 5@6@95
The one legged press might’ve fixed my left butt. When I first took the weight with my left leg, something crunched and got adjusted and it hasn’t hurt since. A little scary, but cheaper than the chiro. Â
I have videos of the squat singles. 375 is a pr and went up easy, but I’m not counting it as it was high. Still, I was pleased as I wrapped myself and had to put my straps up alone, and had my belt loose.
How long until you squat the 405? Not long I bet. One of the guys I train with said to me recently that if you can walk it out and set it up strong, you can squat it.
You’re looking good. The weight doesn’t look heavy for you at all. You just seem tentative - likely because it’s a new weight for you. Maybe you should push your elbows forward
Btw, it was Frank N. who said that about walk outs and squats. I’ll let him know you’ll be squatting 405 shortly.
