Today was GPP a/k/a yard work and wash the dog.

My left glute is completely owie right now. The more I roll, the better it feels, until it doesn’t. Sitting is awful.

I have an interview next week. It’s transactional stuff I’ve done before…knock on wood!
I won’t dig too far into how you wash your dog that results in a sore ass. My own ass is killing me today.

I’ll all my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Yesterday I benched to a new raw 1RM PR of 175, and it was relatively easy. I have 5 or 10 more lbs in me. Also did push presses, front raises, curls, hanging leg lifts, and 80 lb planks. Good workout!

This morning was 20 minutes of hill sprints.

I’m trying to check my unemployment status on the phone. 75 minutes on hold and counting.

Still trying to schedule that interview. The main partner emailed to ask about availability on Saturday; I responded but nothing yet. Argh! Pay attention to ME!!!

Nice job on the PR!

Hiya PiMP =)

I haven’t tried weighted planks yet, but I may steal that idea.

Best of luck on your job search.

good job on the PRs

One legged calf raises - 100/side

1.5 one armed pullups…yet another weird thing to work on.

Damn, single-arm pullups? I can do pullups alright but single-arm sounds impossible - any tips for how one might work up to doing them? (also, can you do them with both arms?)

You know how I know you’re a bitch?

Your new 1RM (plus the 5lbs you have in you) is the same that I benched, shirted, at my meet.

Julie can do like 50 of those 1 arm pull-ups. I tried the other night and did a whopping 2 reps.
Try pistols i you are looking for weird. It’s fun falling on your sore ass.

I had no idea that you kept a log.

You’re strong. I’m going to follow your log.

I was okay with my right hand, but had no chance with my left hand. I stole the idea from Ouroboro_s. Interestingly, my grip/ripping callouses were the hardest part of the left hand attempt, and I never knew I might have a weak grip.

They are actually easier than they look, since it is really a two-handed pullup - you hold onto your pulling wrist with the other hand. Still, it scares old ladies, and Flow.

Hi Flow!

Hi Flow!
I saw them on Youtube and was surprised at how easy they were. They look freaking hard core though. Rock out a few of those in front of the frat boys doing lat pull-downs.

Ohhhh okay, I didn’t realize you were pulling your wrist with your other hand. In my head i was imagining you with one hand behind your back, pulling with just one arm. I tried that particular version last night on my pullup bar, but it only resulted in my face turning bright red (from the effort) and laughter from my boyfriend - I didn’t budge upward an inch.

I’ll give it a try the right way tonight and see if I have anymore luck.

Damn. I can’t do that many ordinary pullups, let alone one-handed. Make the frat boys cry.

Great PR.

Their are people who can do true one are pullups, mainly rock climbers and other freaks like John Davies, but not many people can do it. I’ve actually seen a rock climber do several with two fingers barely holding one with the first knuckle. Crazy Shit!

Yeah, the hard core climbers at my rock gym are all head and forearms and bones - nothing else. I bet they can do one armed pullups. There is a gripwork wall with itty bitty one-finger holds…I look at it and just laugh.

Yesterday - 20 minutes hill sprints, then:

Kroc Rows 3x10x85, 95, 100

Pullups 3x5

Face pulls 3x12x48

Triceps pushdowns 3x20x36

Back extensions 3x10 holding a 35

Played some basketball - mostly just shooting - for about an hour.

Deadlifts:

6x135, 3x225, 1x275, 0x295, 1x295, 0x310, 3x245, 2x3x265

Pistol squats with blue woody band: 3x6

DB snatches - just ten each side, with a 45. I was pretty beat up in the hands at this point.

Overhead squats - 6x45, 6x65, 6x95, 3x95 - arms collapsed.

Side bends - 3x10x85/side.

Tomorrow I’ll be hanging out at USAPL Men’s Nationals. Saturday is VogelLaRosa - our annual “beach” party/crawfish boil. I really don’t want to go - I’m DD, out of work, and would rather watch the coach lift. Sunday, I’ll spend maybe half the day watching the big boys lift, and the other half prepping for my interview on Monday morning.

Wait, now I’m level 0? Silly T-Nation. If I’m level 0, give me my money back!
