That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Can you sue them for wrongful dismissal? ![]()

I’m so sorry to hear that. Were there massive layoffs? No matter the circumstance, it can knock you on your ass.

Nope, we’re a smallish firm. We laid a secretary off a couple of months ago. I was the youngest/no clients of my own in my department, and my department is hurting for work, so I got canned.

Have you made your action plan yet? I mean beyond angry deadlifts.
Any time I’m knocked for a six like that, I start making lists of concrete things to do. Just having a focused course of action calms me down a bit.
You should have seen my lists when I kicked my husband out ![]()

I’m working on that. I’ve revised my resume and have half a dozen places to apply to already. I’m working on my contact list, and have a call into the headhunter who got me this job. I’ll apply for unemployment and hope I have to cancel it quickly.
Sorry to hear about the layoff, and I also hope you will be able to cancel unemployment quickly!

This line cracked me up…
Got any contracts experience? Is going to Fort Collins (maybe Broomfield) an issue?

I’ve done contracts my entire career - primarily real estate related, but some commercial stuff too.
Travel isn’t an issue.

Post more pictures if you can get them. Of your coach. Although pictures of your ear would be nice too ![]()
Glad to hear you’re feeling better.
This is the only other picture I have of him, although I could probably get some from his wife. It’s from the 2005 Master’s Nats, I think? Firebug can probably confirm/deny.
I save my ear pictures for the very, VERY special.

Congratualtions to your coach, that is great lifting. Does he follow a similiar program design that you post?
I am sorry to hear about the lay off. I really hope things workout for the best. Keep smiling.
Ya know I’m keeping my fingers crossed for ya!
And if you actually find a job through T-Nation, I mean, come on…are there no ends to the great good that this website can do? ![]()
stay tough! Of my 18 years since getting my MBA, I have spent nearly 4 of them laid off. Luckily not all at once. It really really sux, but its not the end of the world. Use the time wisely, and enjoy some things during the week that you couldn’t do if you were at the office. And, if you have ever felt that you didn’t have enough time for the gym, now is the time to hit it!
Good Luck. I hope SteelyD’s proposal is not too salacious. Nor insufficiently salacious, but I digress…
oh lame…sorry to hear about your job

Bench up to 10x3x135
Very close grip, fast bench: 5x20x45

And in addition to Steely, all y’all rock. Thank you for the kind thoughts and words.

That’s rough MissP, I’m a fan of drinking as a way to solve problems…but I’m an idiot so, it’s probably not right for you.
Best of luck to you.
