Now that sounds like a lot of fun. Was it indoors or outdoors?

Indoors. There’s a climbing gym about 5 minutes from my house. Between belaying Ali and my own climbing, I get a hell of a grip/forearm/back workout. The legs and core get hit pretty well too.
Had steak and broccoli and a few bites of sweet potato afterwards. Bliss!
Today: Squatted up to a single at 275, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, belt. Then did 5x5 walkout/power curtseys at 315. Then I tried 275 again and lost it in the hole. Then, I did several bottom start squats with 135.
Did a few light deadlifts, but left the hips alone.
Eight sets of 5, GHRs
100/leg calf raises
4x30 seconds planks with 80 lbs on my back
21 minutes walking, 15 degrees, 2.1 mph
I also went to the urgent care because I’m having a weird earache. I have no other sinus issues, but it feels like a massive bruise inside my right ear. The doc looked at me funny, asked for legal advice, and gave me some antibiotics that have caused a lot of stomach upset. I’ll be on them for the next several days.
Depending on how I feel, I might not bother cutting to 165 for the meet on 5/16. Of course, the antibiotics might make me drop weight anyway…
There’s a civil war going on inside my body.

Oh, and this dude was at my gym today…sneaky camera PMPM action figure takes a secret picture of Hitler…

Very cool. Now I’ll be super impressed if you get a picture of Jimmy Hoffa.
I hope you’re feeling better soon.

Thanks kmc, I went to the Dr and they gave me some horse pills. They seem to be working, the pain is significantly decreased.
As an aside, my coach won the 181 weight class at USAPL Master’s Nationals this weekend. Not sure what he totaled, but his wife mentioned that he pulled 625 on his first attempt, and then went for 725 on his second and third…
Gotta love it when the old man pulls more than I total.
Congrats, Ron!

This is the only other picture I have of him, although I could probably get some from his wife. It’s from the 2005 Master’s Nats, I think? Firebug can probably confirm/deny.
I save my ear pictures for the very, VERY special.
