That’s not a lot of time!! :open_mouth: tempting though…

Oh, ya big baby, it is plenty of time

you think so? I don’t know, I’ve been in my own world trying to get my weight down…I don’t even know HOW to train for a meet! LOL!!

Not to hijack, but I guess I am,but do any of you gals have bad knees? Meaning arthritis, etc…I just got a generic diagnosis today until I get my xrays back, and I was given a list of crap not to do…

I don’t think so, I know so… and yes, many lifters have bad knees. You will need to find out what the doctors says then maybe find some supplements/exercises to help you out. But it is still possible to lift/compete with bad knees…

Malinda

Thanks Malinda!! ;>

Congrats! Sounds like everything went well! Seems like you learned a lot and got some great experience!

Congrats! What kind of beer did you reward yourself with? Arrogant Bastard?

Congrats on achieving your goal!!

Guinness. We went to the one bar that really had nothing decent on tap. Half a bottle and I was about on the floor.

I had some Arrogant Bastard earlier this week. Delicious!

That’s what I’m debating between tomorrow. Arrogant Bastard or Guinness. It’ll likely be a game time decision.

Funny, I know some guys that the more Guinness they drink, the more of an Arrogant Bastard they become.

Yeah, but what if you’re already an Arrogant Bastard to start with? What would you become then? An Arrogant Asshole?

When you get to that point it’s time to quit drinking and join AA.

Back to training yet or taking it easy?

Hoping to get back tonight. After the inlaws left, I was exhausted (as was my liver). I was in bed asleep before 10 last night. Hubby wants to do the same thing tonight.

If I can get away, I was thinking of just going and raw squatting until I puke.

sounds like fun!

I think you should put 185 on the bar, unrack it and squat. Don’t rerack it or stop until your legs give out or until you literally are about to puke. Make it out of the rack before puking. Bonus points for puking on a SRC nearby.

Well, I was thinking about doing that, but with 135, lol…

I suppose I might be a pussy.

If you want to make sure to give yourself a head start on the puking, so you don’t have to do to many squats, mix some Surge recovery with MILK and drink before you begin!!! All the sugar and dairy will have you puking all over the squat rack in no time.

Shoot, no squats tonight - I have to go to a wine tasting. FML!

Wine tasting or Surge puking in the rack that’s a hell of a choice.

I hope you had a nice visit with the inlaws. How is Bob anyway?

Where have I been?

I’ve been researching resveratrol with my cat, Louis. I don’t know why the article talks about Louis being a mouse. Or why I would be calling ex-girlfriends.

Wore my sports bra and a tank top to work today (with a cute jacket, jeans, and obscenely high heels). I have squat shoes, pants, etc. in the car.

I will squat tonight!

I’m thinking I’ll get back with the coach after he finishes at the Arnold. I’d like to do weights three days a week - alternating weeks of two lower/one upper and one upper/two lower, or heavy lower/assistance random/heavy upper. This will let me workout with the hubby.

I didn’t get the sponsorship I was hoping to get, so that means I’m still up in the air about lifting equipped at the May meet.

I’ll be taking my ref test at the meet out here on March 21.

Volume is fun!

Back squats:
2x5x45, 20x135, 4x5x185

Deadlifts:
2x10x135, sumo; 2x5x135 conventional. Double overhand grip.

No belt

Jefferson squat attempts - 5 per side, bar only. These felt awkward, but I might continue to work on them.

Calf raises - 100 total/side

Side bends - 3x10x80lb DB. Grip was failing on the left hand and I had to use a hook grip. Ouch!

Plie squats - 10x80lbs, 2x8x100 lbs.

Done…it’s been ages since I’ve felt so jelly in my legs after a workout. It felt great just to mess around and have fun!
