LOL good good. You’ll get the hang of it. You just need to get out of your hand and accept that you are that strong now. Let Bam Bam be your strength guide.
Spidey - just wanted to say that I have been ‘lurking’ around for awhile watching your progress. You are doing great and are an inspiration. As a fellow 6 foot 2 inch guy I am especially interested in your progress. I just completed my first year of training with weights and am learning a lot. Thanks for sharing.
Let all the hoes be with you in their costumes this fine 3 week Halloween stretch
^ what are you guys being for Halloween? I just decided to go with Ned Flanders, so no mini-cut for me

I appreciate that man. Hopefully my minor successes and major failures will help you out. lol. Thanks for the support.
Ned Flanders and Hank Hill as costumes? DYEL?
Prussin’
Flat BB: So alternated between setting my upper back first, then my feet, and vise versa. Former has more arch, latter has more leg drive. Also did wider grip today. Not sure why.
145x7
165x5
185x3
155x7
175x5
195x2
Floor Press: Paused, felt really good
155x5x6
Seated DB Press: Progressing with DB’s is always a bitch for me, so decreased density. 1 min rest
50’sx3x8-10
Cuban Press:
20’sx3x12
Decline DB Extensions: These are so solid, pronating on the way up
25’sx3x12-15
Single Arm Pec Deck:
3x12
God really thought I had 3 reps with 195, but I just kind of died all the sudden. I’m thinking by having a bit less of an arch I have more leg drive. So if I widen my grip a tad, that will reduce the ROM in way that kind of negates the loss from less arching. So in theory, this should be a better Benching position for me lol.
Bench weights are climbing!
I like to set my upper back first when i’m benching. It helps me get set a lot tighter
@chobbs - Thanks man, gotta catch up to you
@budreiser - I have done that most my time benching, and my bench sucks. So giving the ‘feet first’ a try
@Maazer - FML Ned is bigger then me
Poolin’
Pendlay Rows: Form had gotten sloppy last week, so went lighter. Also, used hook grip on all sets. Trying to get accustomed to it.
205x2x5
215x2x5
225x5
Pull-ups: Did all these basically deadstop this time.
BWx8
+20x3x6
Cable Rows: Need to go a little lower in weight
3x10
Wide-Grip Pulldowns: Stretch with constant tension
3x10
Hammer Curls:
40’sx3x12
BB Curls:
75x3x12-15
Good workout. Argued with a crazy Bible-thumper for an hour after that that comes onto our campus and yells about Hell and the gheys. FML I always get sucked in lol

Not so much. The circular reasoning, question dodging, and overall just nasty attitudes are sad and give those with who associate with theism in anyway a very poor name.
The worst thing was they had a kid, maybe 8 years old, wearing a shirt saying “fags and fornicators burn in Hell”. passing out fliers. Just pathetic.

Unfortunately this is very true…and they always seem to have a small child handing out their flyers so it’s hard to say no

That’s fucking atrocious. I would’ve flipped.
Yeah, I mean while the guy wasn’t ‘rational’, he was reasonable to a degree if you talked to him and genuinely tried to refute his arguments (most just yell back at him yelling and say shit that’s just as ignorant) and would have a genuine conversation. However, if we was ever backed into a corner with his position, he would quickly say “You know the answer to that, you could see it if you’d open your eyes…”. So very frustrating.
He did irritate me to a point where I asked if he valued the teachings of Corinthians 6:19-20, which he said of course, so I asked him why doesn’t he even lift. lol. I googled his ministry, it’s pinpointevangelism.com, and apparently there are many others doing this stuff all over college campuses and cities. Like I said, it’s really sad for the kids who are raised like this who are basically being thrown into the express lane of becoming really unhappy or shitty people later in life.

Yeah, I spent several years around that stuff – the Ozarks are the host of plenty of hypocritical and ignorant groups that hide under the pretense of Christianity. It’s both sad and scary. My old apartment was just a block down the street from the headquarters of one of the major groups, and their entire [marble and granite covered] complex took up more land than the hospital across the street. That’s before considering the million dollar broadcasting centers they run out of many of their churches, and their local university and seminary.
In fact, for another group, I worked on some software with them. The church’s IT department made so much money they spun off and created their own company. Hypocrisy at its finest.
But it was very polarizing living there… you either had people who belonged to these various church groups enforcing their superiority on everyone else, or you had rabid atheists who discounted anything remotely religious/spiritual (and who were often equally nonsensical).
One of the more amusing confrontations: Flying Spaghetti Monster Evangelizing
It’s much nicer being back in Ohio/Indiana where, for the most part, everyone gets along pretty well.
As far as dealing with them… my best advice is to just leave it alone.
