wooop woop woop woop woop

@Chobbs: Too bad I’m still 1/3rd of your strength

@MaazerSmitt: I use to tuck me feet wayyyyy back, but honestly it would fatigue my lower back too much and wasn’t maintainable for more than about a rep or two. I definitely have an arch, but not much with this foot position.

Today I took it pretty easy.

I hit Squats for 315x3x3, 325x3, then 275x5 Paused. Then some RDL’s.

Think I’m a bit sick, overtrained, something. Just been sleeping for like 10 hours every night. Plus, knees are starting to nag me a bit, which I guess is no biggie seeing as my Squats went up a lot, as has my Sumo, so I guess I need to let my joints catch up.

Think I’m going to take the next few days and do higher reps stuff, low rest, try to burn through some glycogen. Will try to start the prep phase for CBL tomorrow. Supposed to basically just do 7-10 days of less than 30g of carbs a day, though it can get knocked down to 5-7 I guess if you do some HIIT and/or train hard.

Any ideas of how to get at least about 3000 calories in just basically fats + protein? I figured I’d hit 6 eggs a day, 8oz of pork, 8oz of like 70/30 Beef, and then maybe full fat cottage cheese? Obviously some veggies, VCO in my coffee (will probably need more of that until my body gets adjusted).

I feel like I don’t know what I’m eating when I eat 70/30 beef. At least 85/15 for me, preferably 93/7 with lots of butter.

I always eat 88/12

That’s the secret…

Yeah I saw this video, Omar actually told me about the upcoming interview a month or so ago.

I’m assuming you posted this because my diet seems ‘IIFYM’, which it is to a degree. But IMO I feel other then some sweet tea and hot chocolate, I eat moderately ‘clean’, at least by Omar and Alan’s standards. I’ve been eating more whole foods as of late, though.

lol’d

Posted it ‘cause I know you “follow” the guy and it relates to what we were just talkin’ about. Also thought it was really interesting and like most things people twisted a very simple concept to fit their own misguided ideals.

Yeah I thought it was funny he said how IIFYM wasn’t ever supposed to be a diet, but instead a clever way of telling people to stop majoring in the minors. That was eye-opening for me, to a degree.

How is your training going, btw? I noticed you haven’t updated your training thread in awhile. Why not get a log going in this section, man?

Yeah, that was cool. If I hadn’t heard that I would’ve just assumed it was another “fad” diet. You’re killin’ it in here by the way. Just keep truckin’ and you’ll get where you’re trying to be.

Goin’ well, actually as good as it’s been in years. Just focusing baxk on the basics and rebuilding lost strength. I’ve thought about another log, but I know I won’t be as consistent as I need so it’s kinda pointless. Just recently started writing my workouts down again. Been good to just kind of “disconnect” and just lift. I’ll update the thread with some pics soon. Be easy bud.

For bench being stuck, try adding some paused bench sets in somewhere. I have long *** arms like you, and bench never moved up even back when I was able to train it, squat, and dead regularly a few years ago. Paused benching helps teach you to stay tight, plus with long arms usually the bottom part of the bench is just ridiculously weaker then the top. Working the muscles responsible for the bottom really helped me get comfortable with my form and learn how get my pecs to explode out of the bottom position. I actually felt my lats contract during benching for the first time thanks to paused benching. Wasn’t really my goal, but it helped me move the weight and make the bench feel more stable/explosive.

I appreciate that man.

I did something similar, when my log kind of got lost on the 3rd or 4th page. Just did nothing but lift, got off the internet for awhile, it was nice.

Yeah I was actually thinking of maybe pausing my ‘low’ rep sets of Bench, or any CG work. I did all my CG work paused on like this Ed Coan program I ran a long time ago and that seemed to really work. Thanks for the tips, and glad that you’re following along!

Doing the prep phase now. 2nd day, and I’ve already eaten roughly 2 lbs of meat (literally, I’m weighing it out). Don’t feel like shit yet, just a little mentally foggy.

Did lift, just a real basic ‘pump’ style upper body, and some HIIT. Try to deplete that glycogen quickly. Will likely only do this 5-7 days, maybe even less. In the past I’ve gotten ‘fat adapted’ quite quickly, so hoping for the same. The only way I really know is ‘consistent’ energy levels and metallic taste in my mouth lol

When are you going back to the regular BBB split?

After I’m done with the prep phase. Right now I’m basically following the ‘template’, but doing a deload. I went from consistently Squatting in the mid-upper 200’s, and now I’m consistently in the low-mid 300’s. So I think my joints need a break, getting little aches and pains.

Pulled 445 Conventional after only doing Sumo for 5-6 weeks, being carb depleted, and sleep deprived. Last time I just barely missed 425, so PR.

Thanks bro.

Still no carbs, lifts went well still. Hit 185x3x8 on Flat Bench, pretty easy reps as well. Did 3 sets of 12 on Chins as well.

Have done HIIT the last 3 days PWO too, just to speed this prep phase up. just 6 Sprints on bikes/elliptical, nothing crazy. Have dropped 10 lbs in 4 days lol
