Spartacus: Blood and Sand

there is gonna be another season… lucy lawless apparently lives and spartacus is gonna be played by a new actor, since whitfield has cancer.

my only gripe with season 1 was the crappy CGI… and some of the battle/gladiator scenes were poorly done with CGI…

dood. how have I failed on this show?
Better be on demand.

I’m not sure about on demand but it’s definitely on NetFlix (streaming online)

I wonder when Crixus is going to start nailing Mrs. Batiatus? Or when Oenemaus (the new Doctore) will start the gain control of the men (and who’s ass he will have to kick to do it)? Or when the falling out with good Solonius will occur?

I fucking LUV that show!

What’s up with the leading actors of good TV shows getting cancer? Didn’t Dexter get cancer too? Is it the lighting?

Also, when is Batiatus going to kill his dad, Vettius, and Tullius, and when is Crixus going to kill Gannicus?

I’m guessing episodes 5 and 6 for everything.

This is much better than season 1 of Blood and Sand, which was awesome in its own right. This one started faster, the effects are much better, the fighting is better, and the FFM scene was sweet.

^^I think this was the original plan but I hope the ratings are high for this prequel and that they decide to stretch it out longer. They could string the storyline out over the course of the entire season which would be great cause this season is bad ass.

I didn’t think I would like this new season but it’s actually pretty damn good. I think the actors from last season are doing a pretty damn good job.

Must be dem steroidz, the actors are all so huge and aggressive.

All joking aside, I love how athletically in shape the gladiators are and how untrained and average their owner, Batiatus and the other roman citizens look in contrast. Especially this one syrian gladiator who was crippled in season 2 has worked hard on his body.
The guy starring Crixus is doing some great acting. And he’s probably a better chick magnet with the long hair and the stubbles then Spartacus was in Season 1.

Some nerdy observations: The public toilets (ep.1 or 2) were pretty damn realistic. The wealthier romans got to wipe their ass, just like B. did with a shared sponge, handed by a slave. The stuff for some nasty arse infections!
Great to have to counterbalance with Batiatus’ Father to all this juicy fucking and whoring. Most romans in higher positions probably weren’t so very openly kinky.

I absolutely love this show

I was really pumped for season 2 with the slaves escaping, forming an army, fighting the romans etc you know the story, but this season is pretty bad ass too.

That chick who plays Lila in Dexter is going to pull some shifty shit I can just tell.

The series is only 6 episodes, so that is as far as they can stretch it.

yea dexter had cancer… but he fought it off… i believe this was during season 5… thus a bit of a lapse between seasons 5 and 6…

the difference here is whitfield had cancer, got better, then it came back… and he decided to let the show move one without him…

Dunno if it was mentioned or not but Liam Mcintyre (sp) will be replacing andy for the second season and i believe is in filming atm. Can’t wait to see season 2, in the meantime the backstory of batiatus will have to do.

Crixus is highly motivated and focused. His rise is also not unlike Spartacus’ in season 1, though he didn’t have to be broken down like Spartacus did. He was ready to go from the jump.

Good twists in episode 5. You knew what was going to happen, but I didn’t predict the way it would happen. Batiatus is not yet the complete scoundrel that he was in season 1. I really liked that they showed how much love he had for his father. It made him into a much more “human feeling” character. I wish I had seen the prequel before season 1. It would have been that much better not knowing how everything shakes out in the end.

Lucy Lawless has great tits.

I can’t fucking wait to see Tullius get killed in Ep6. Seriously FUCK that guy. He killed the hottest piece of ass on the show. It was pretty cool to see Lucretia strutting around in her dead friend’s wig at the end of ep5 though.

i didn’t think lucy lawless was stacked like that… i guess after popping a few kids out they really do grow… or it could be the siliconez

I don’t know man. I remember watching Xena as a kid just hoping for even a brief titty shot. Ah the memories.
