Not sure in anyone else has been keeping up with this show but it keeps getting better and better every week. The first two episode didnt impress me to much but after that the show really took off. I dont watch alot of TV but now when Friday rolls around the first thing that comes to mine it “Yes, Spartacus is on to night.”
I heard it has sex and violence. Must…watch…

seriously this show is fucken horrible soo bad. If your watching it for the tits then just watch some porn, don’t encourage them to continue this show for another season.

Yeah I was like you. I watched 1 and 2 and thought this sucks. But then started thinking about the old Lucy Lawless thing I had when I was younger and said ehh at least you see her naked.
Then it actually started getting good around episode 4 then 5 now 6. OH man they did whaaaaat.
Yeah, you can kinda see how they tried to do a bit of the gladiator mixed with 300 type of feel and that thru me for a couple episode then it found its grove and seeing lucy lawledd straddle a slave then go down on them was worth the ticket for me.

The show hasn’t even screened it’s first episode over here yet, but apparently the main actress was super-hot and super up-herself.

Just download the episodes from a torrent site, where is the problem?
Anyhow, it is not all tits and violence. I like it for the same reasons I liked Rome, they show a culture with completely different mores and customs without being in any way preachy about it.
F.E one of the gladiators is gay and has a little toy boy and nobody even mentions it. They do not really show nudity for nudities sake, most of the time it is far from being sexual, they are just people with their clothes off that have not really been indoctrinated with 2000 years of Christian puritanism.
If someone only sees tits and blood in this series that is not the fault of this series.
edit: Plus, there are of course some spectacular tits and so much gore that that alone would make it somewhat entertaining.

Right on all counts. Im eight episodes in and the character develop ment has been great and the battle between Spartacus, Crixus and Theocules was one of the best fights I’ve seen.
If you have Netflix you can stream this show right to your computer, PS3 or 360.

It’s an okay show. Not great, but not the worst I’ve ever seen. It’s certainly worth catching over the weekend, if you don’t wanna sit home on Friday nights.
And bad news for you, Optheta…the show was renewed for a second season before the first season even went on the air… Apparently Starz was pretty convinced they had a hit on their hands.
I’m assuming yu’ve already stopped watching it. Don’t worry about the rest of us. We’ll be alright.
I watch it. I like it. I’ll admit, its not a GREAT show…but the new season of Entourage isn’t coming on any time soon, so I gotta watch something.

I’ve watched the first 8 episodes over the course of last night and today, good show, though I don’t particularly care for the directors taste in the backgrounds and 99% of the cgi is awful quality.
But meh, the thing that really bothers me, is how much Spartacus screams OVER AND OVER AND OVER, he doesn’t shut up for 5 minutes without a “AHHHHHHHGH” Anyway, I like it outside that.
My only complaint about the show is they cut that dudes dick off and actually had to show it. I got like sympathetic pain from that. That and that all the upper class roman’s didnt get what they have coming to them yet.
The show took a while to get going, but now it’s fairly intriguing. Don’t watch it for the chicks, as there is far more eye candy for women than there is for guys.
