Did anyone claim South Park espoused a straight conservative POV?
Did anyone say the only people who watched South Park and appreciated it were conservatives?
The answer is no: the term South Park Republican means someone generally who is anti-PC but more socially liberal than ordinary conservatives (think libertarian).
Lifticus acts like someone kicked his puppy by being a self-avowed conservative and liking South Park. Grow up.

It is a label to describe a certain kind of conservative voter - no more, no less.
It is not a disparaging term - just one used to identify like-minded people.
Why does discussing it invoke your need to whine about it?
Hmmm…not whining about it. Just pointing out the absurdity of identifying with it as they don’t really take any stand and leave the viewer to make up their own mind about it.
As stated earlier…my bad…I misinterpreted the intention of the OP. I’ll let you conservatives get back to your flag-waving or whatever it is you do to show support…tying a yellow ribbon or whatever.

Liftic, you sure are passionate about this topic. Chill out, I was trying to see if any of my conservative type friends here on T-Nation watched the same CARTOON I do. Get it, a cartoon, not that big a deal.
What is it about this subject that bothers you so much? Does South Park get under your skin? Does it bother you that they enjoy pissing liberals off? You should buy a copy of Team America to watch along with your Micheal Moore collection.
America…fuck yeah…comin’ again to save the mutha’ fuckin’ day yeah…
Umm… Jumper… you know that Parker and Stone made Team America right? The same guys who make South Park… unless I’m horribly mistaken of course.
But I’m pretty sure… so…
Lol
Yes I know that is why I said it. It is called sarcasm. Get it, Liftic probably has a Micheal Moore collection and Team America by Parker and Stone is sort of like the opposite from that. I was being sarcastic.
Sorry, missed your sarcasm. You think America World Police was conservative? I don’t even think it was political, just hilarious.
To me it’s like watching The Daily Show and Stephen Colbert back to back! Stewart is an obvious liberal, and Colbert is such a douche Conservative it’s hilarious! Colbert is so overt with his smug conservative statements, obviously making conservatives look stupid, it really makes me understand and have sympathy for some of the guys on here
(ex: JeffR).

Please, please, please stop doing this.
Conservatives are not retarded (in all cases), nor are they evil, nor are they incompetent, nor are they always wrong.
It’s just a different view point. Yes, Colbert makes hardcore conservatives look very silly, and so does Cartman. But South Park also makes some hardcore liberals, namely celebrities and hippies, look like the complete douches they actually are.
Conservatives aren’t silly. Liberals aren’t silly. Extremists are (usually) silly.

Thank you. These silly attacks bring the forum down.

I think Team America was absolutely brilliant. Parker and Stone’s tongues were so firmly in their cheeks I’m surprised they didn’t come out of their ears.
That movie was, from start to finish, a vicious satire of every Bruckheimer gung-ho quasi-patriotic movie ever made, from Armegeddon to Pearl Harbor to Independence Day.
What’s funny is, as much as the movie poked fun at the stereotypical American ignorance of other cultures and places (like always displaying a super with how many miles from America the foreign country is, or having all the Arabs talk like “dirka, dirka, dirka, Muhammad jihad”) as well as the stereotype of America’s absolute belief in the rightness of its actions even when it fucks up, as when the World Police destroy Paris in order to kill four terrorists, I doubt if the majority of American viewers even realized they were being made fun of.
I only saw the movie on DVD, so I can only imagine how it must have played in theaters around the world, but I’ll bet you money that whereas the Americans were (depending on their politics) either cheering and singing “America, Fuck Yeah!” …or else sniffing offendedly at the unkind protrayal of Alec Baldwin and their other liberal heroes, moviegoers in Europe were likely laughing their asses off at seeing, “the World Police” lampooned so expertly and subtly.
Conservatives? Matt and Trey?! Never.
They are subversives! And the best kind, too: the real objects of their roasting don’t even realize they have been roasted.
As Horace (who ought to know something about satire) once said, “ridentem dicere verum quid vetat?” Matt and Trey would, I think, wholeheartedly agree.

you forgot: micromuscle is silly.

Your pic is not silly, it’s hilarious! What are you doing in it, Pilates? I actually agreed with the South park shit, but you my friend, are a poor example for a back double biceps pose. I hope you know how funny you look!!! Are you serious? Those arms are amazing (amazing how small they are!) And where are the lats??? Someone stole your lats!!! Call 911!!!
And Zap, you are just friggin’ a retard, sorta like Timmy and Jimmy on South Park… I wish you could put more than one sentence together. Please, impress me! A fuckin’ cartoon character… You wish.

Insults from fools with room temperature IQ’s just hurt so much. Boo hoo.
South Park is often called ‘conservative’ by liberal fuckheads. It’s called this for same reason that Fox News is called conservative: Because it’s not blatantly liberal in it’s point of view.
See, liberals feel that the only “normal” point of view is the liberal point of view. To observe anything in any way other than the liberal way is to be a jack-booted Bushie Hitler-lover.
Can anyone rationally argue that this is not true?
