Why do people seem to dislike Tucker Carlson so much? There aren’t too many popular pundits that I agree with more often than Carlson.

Hey Moriarty!
I dislike Tucker Carlson because …I just do.
He’s a slimy weasel and a jerk.
He’s not a conservative, he’s more of a country club republican, and he’ll not hesitate to sell out or undercut a real conservative if he feels it’ll help him in some way.
Oddly, my friend the commie lib hates him for the exact same reasons.
He’s met him, and says he’s even more odious in person.
Two words: Bow tie
I bet his mom still ties it on for him in the morning.
Oh, seeing him get bitch slapped by Jon Stewart was so sweet.
Ahhhhh.
I don’t know about “bitch-slapped.” I’m no fan of Crossfire or either host, but Stewart came off to anyone with a brain as an arrogant, self-righteous asshole. “You’re hurting our country.” Please.

Yeah…Stewart is–oddly enough–a bigger dick than Carlson.
There was no bitch slapping.
Stewart was being stupid and Carlson took him to task for it.
“Jon Stewart” and “bitch slap” are, by definition, oxymorons.
I tend to hate partisan shouting matches that pass for political TV these days, but I never had much of problem with Carlson.

He is a complete asshole, but I like his honesty. A lot of the complaints about Carlson in this thread stem from his work on Crossfire, but I think a lot of that is format. All 4 of those guys are smart guys that can argue well, but the format of the show dictates it being a shouting match. Have you guys seen Carlson on other programs and/or read his stuff?
Sure Stewart did come off as a little self-important, but he was right on the money for the most part.

The reason I like Carlson is because he actually backs up his arguments with logic. I rarely hear him say much that I would consider illogical, even if I disagree with it. So, given that, I’d have to say he is indeed a Republican and not a conservative.

It really was great to watch.
Reminded me of that Foo Fighters song “dont wanna be your monkey friend”.
Damn Tucker Carlson, Ann Coulter and all those other dead head zealots.
He’s one of those people you dislike on first sight. I don’t know why, perhaps it’s the smarmy geekboy image he projects.
I have to admit, the bow tie freaks me out a little bit.

How are Tucker Carlson and Ann Coulter at all alike?

well for that matter, what’s wrong with Ann Coulter–I mean, she’s a little on the skinny side…
How are Tucker Carlson and Ann Coulter at all alike?

Because I’ve never, ever heard Ann Coulter deliver an argument about anything that didn’t include name calling and absolute nonsense. If Ann Coulter posted on this forum it would be like suffering through a red-headed, bastard step-child produced by some sort of strange Lumpy/Al Shades/Jeff R clusterfuck.

So, would you hit it?
I would be proud to bang Ann Coulter.
Somebody told me she’s into chubby, married, firefighting conservatives=)
We could do the hippity dippity and then watch Farenhype 911.
Yahoooooooo!
That’s my girl!
Coulter is a jack@$$ and so is anyone that agrees with her idiotic hateful rants.
