Piney’s murder was crazy and I’m kinda pissed about it. He was a great character and brought morality to the group with his willingness to challenge anyone else’s authority. Cannot wait to see how this all inevitably unravels and is dropped square on clay’s head

Clay does NOT love the club. He loves himself, period. He’s the antithesis of what an MC stands for. Guys like this is why Sonny Barger left the Hells Angels and the Mongols and the Pagans started to fall apart.

Back to topic: What was that expression Clay gave at the end after he killed Piney? Surprise that he went through with it? Regret? Pity?

Argument at work: “I dont doubt all the gun running and drugs that go on in the underground, but the show is too unrealistic because it doesn’t show enough bike accidents.” WTF? Apparently people who ride motorcycles are supposed to crash 'em all the damn time?

Good point. Clay is a pretender to the throne. He loves power but isn’t a leader because he has to kill off the club one member at a time to maintain his status. Piney was bound to go at some point - he gave Jax his copy of John’s journal after Jax burned his own.

John didn’t want a chain of command within the club: that’s what his vision for the club was all about - he wanted equality, brotherhood. If he gave Piney a copy of the journal, he gave Clay one as well. Which is probably why Clay betrayed him in the first place.
