Sons of Anarchy Returns

My boy Tig is back. Great intro, great middle, and great ending. Manliest show on tv.

F me, I need to get last season on DVD so i can watch this season. I watched the first three seasons on netflix a few weeks ago, basically shot three days and didn’t sleep much and watched straight through.

Next week will be that wounded gorilla Clay’s last episode. Courtesy of either Tig, or Oap I haven’t decided yet.

You’d think there would be a line up to off Clay. I don’t know but for anyone that is familiar with the whole story, it would kind of seem that it would be Jax’s right. Having said that, I would love it to be Tig - my favorite.

Also looks like Gemma’s even a bigger freak than we all thought too. Didn’t see that coming.

Hopefully they do a little more with Op’s character this season as he seems to have been sitting on the fence for way too long.

BTW, are there spoilers here or is that a no-go?

We need spoiler alerts, my friend.

SPOILER ALERT! STOP READING

Tig is probably gonna die this season and so is Clay. Tig won’t be able to sit back on the fence after what happened to his kid. Opie will return in a big way. I expect heavy casualities.

if they off Clay, then the whole deal with the Irish is off - and that is the basis for thier moneymaking as a club.

I cant see that happening.

and I hope they don’t off Tig - he is definintly one of my favorites.

(btw, I taped the episode and havent watched it yet)

Haha awwwwwwwwwww yeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

That’s definitely where the Niners plot is going, for sure.

Looking forward to seeing what they do with Bobby, Otto, the Gemma/Tara power struggle, how the Jax/CIA story pans out and Jimmy Smit’s new character. Actually, just the whole season. Can’t really choose one story line. ha

Any predictions?

Some of the scenes feel like im watching a crappy reality tv show, full of lame ass drama and horrible acting. Which is why i stopped watching last season.

Last night wasnt bad tho, and im fairly encouraged for this season. Doesnt hurt there isnt shit on tv tuesdays…

Pearlman played the wounded gorilla pretty well in the first episode lol dude legit looked like he was dying.

Tig will wreak havoc on that guy who runs the niners, well i think it will be his family. Love tig.

Opie is either gonna be phased out, or will bust back on the scene. i think busting back.

SPOILER ALERT??

What happened at the end to unser? Are we watching for a prosthetic leg, or will this person show up without a leg? Whoever did that will make an appearance next week, mark my words.

If you were watching closely, the man with the prosthetic was already shown earlier in the episode. Go back and watch the church scene when they were voting Bobby in as VP.

Did not notice that at all. Good catch, man.

I thought killing Tigs daughter was a cheesy way of keeping him in the show.

Killing an unimportant character was cheap IMO

A question to fans of the show…does it pick up after the first season?

I got Season 1 on DVD and watched it in full. It wasn’t bad but it didn’t knock my socks off. Good, but not great I guess I’d say. I expected more mayhem - more blood, more clubhouse shoot-outs, more feuds with rival gangs, and more drug deals. Plus I have difficultly seeing “lovely locks” Jax as a tough guy - it looks like he uses leave-in conditioner or something.

Is it like Breaking Bad where it starts off slow and picks up in later seasons, or is season 1 pretty typical of the whole show? I’d like to give it another chance

Thanks

Watch Season 2 and see what you think. Like any show, it has it’s ups and downs but Season 2 is what got me hooked and even in the more recent seasons it it hits a lull, I still seem some positives and anxiously await every Tuesday for a new episode to air.

Long story short, I wouldn’t judge it based off of Season 1…they hit their stride in later seasons.

Agreed, seasons 2 and 3 are the best imo. Though the Irish episodes are a bit drawn out, they could have wrapped that whole story up in 2 episodes. The ending of the last episode of season 3 is one of the all time greatest endings of a season ever. They could have ended the series there and it’s going to hard to ever top that final scene.

As for what happens this season, I have a few theories:

Tig goes banana sandwich. Which imo, is cheap because they’ve used Tig as the crazy, uncontrollable scapegoat before to create cheap drama(like him running down LeRoy’s woman last season). It’s old and done.

I think Clay and Opie come together this season. It’s a long shot, but they both share a common theme in that they are on the outside of SAMCRO looking in. When shit goes down I see Opie and Clay coming in guns blazing.

They actually make a god damn effort to give Chibs some god damn screen time. He’s an excellent and very underutilized character in my opinion.

I’m tired of the power struggle between Tara and Gemma. If Tara was the bad ass she is 75% of the time, she would have bitch slapped Gemma into next week a long time ago. And Jax being “too busy” to deal with the obvious BS between his mom and his boy’s mom is retarded. They’ve beat this story line to death and never really do anything with it. This whole thing about the crew moving in with Gemma’s pimp is just a ploy to get some ho to suck Jax’s dick, which Gemma will be hiding in the closet with her phone so she can send it to Tara. Which they essentially have already done twice before. Do. Something. New.

I’m going to miss Piney. He was the old drunk Yoda of the show and now they don’t have anyone like that.

I dont mind the lame ass reality chick show drama scenes that involve Tara, so hot. The rest of them are fucking lame as hell, under acted, and generally puss up the show.

Riding through this world, all alooooooooooooooooooooone

You ready, my friend? It’s Tuesday.

I love Tig! I am glad Jax cut his hair and that beard thing.

Anybody see last nights episode?

Opie finally stepped up and made his choice in his usual dry, sarcastic manner. Great scene. lol

Jax and Tara - yay!

I am really digging Nero’s character. You can already see strong parallels between him and Jax. The chicken scene made my night. Had to see that twice.

Not too much info on the Nord attack though, aside from seeing Unser’s beat up head and Gemma’s trashed house. Maybe next week.

Looking forward to next episode where the four of them are inside. Violence and blood shed, I’m predicting them.

Tig - what can you say? Breakdown can’t be far away.

Does anyone know if Jax has chosen his new Sergeant at Arms? Seems to me we have a new VP but no SAA yet. Maybe Chibs would be a good call? Initially I thought Opie would be VP but that didn’t happen so I’m more than curious to see if anyone else has a new role.
