Some People Here Are Confused

I dont post here a lot, but read fairly often, and if I’m being honest, I think you Prof X are sometimes your own worst enemy. Years of being on this forum seem to have left you overly defensive, by that I mean, someone may ask a simple question like “but I read another guy saying this…” just looking for some clarifcation or validation, but it is taken as an attack against what you are saying and results in a defensive post, usually involving “Im big you’re small”, which then results in everyone else getting defensive and then another 10 pages of pointless arguing.

I can’t speak for all the newbies on the forum, but I’m sure some also feel like me, in that it seems we have to tread on egg shells when asking you a question in case it results in a backlash of abuse.

I hope you dont take this the wrong way, Im not critising you, just giving an objective opinion on the whole issue. There are of course the people who do question what you know and just stir up trouble, but try not to assume everyone asking a question is doing this

Not only do you not have enough muscle, but you’re also in desperate need of an IMMEDIATE hairstyle change.

Why do people even care how some people act? Shit, this forum is supposed to be a site so we can talk about the thing we love (bodybuilding, although some come here to do the opposite) and trade advice. Theres so much “I hope i’m popular” highschool BS going around it’s sickening.

Prof X could call everyone cunts for all I care, the amount of shit i’ve learned from his posts far outweigh any SEEMINGLY dickish behaviour (which is only brought up by over-sensitive people imo).

P.S - I will be in the popular crowd soon when I take some updated pics :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Don’t sound so nervous, lad. He doesn’t eat people from England while they’re sleeping - I promise.

anyone else not confused?

I don’t really see it as overly defensive, but just a combination of:

  • Frustration with people asking questions that can be answered by 5 seconds of searching
  • Misinterpretation of the post (What was said vs. What people read into)
  • Random hate for anybody who doesn’t coddle beginners with advanced theories

This applies to more than X though, I have seen many big lifters offer advice only to be ignored because the advice wasn’t pretty (Eat more food for muscle? But what about Insulin’s effect on inhibiting lipolysis? I don’t want to gain fat); then the herd mentality makes it an us-vs-them scenario, thereby ruining any hope of good conversation or debate.

Most of the people you seem to think are being so jumped on are flamed by some here for starting a thread…when the exact same topic is 5 threads below that one.

They are the ones asking about stretch marks…for the billionth time even though there must be a stretch marks question on every page of this forum going back years.

They are the type who write out some ridiculously long and over-analyzed diet scheme that comes out to “EXACTLY 2,800 CALORIES BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT A CALCULATOR TOLD THEM OR A BOOK”…yet when SEVERAL members here focus on caloric intake and make posts of eating more, the beginner goes into a rage because he just wants to know what EXACT WORK OUT PROGRAM he needs to gain muscle because OBVIOUSLY he already eats right because he read it somewhere.

I don’t see anyone being flamed for simply saying, “Hey, I read “author” who said this”. In fact, I NEVER NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN. Not ever. Please show me a case of this because I seriously doubt anyone flaming someone for that is anyone who most of us know to actually have built themselves up.

If you are casting every random newb who simply tries to flame people in with every veteran member here you would be mistaken.

I haven’t seen lehwitehurst flame someone simply for mentioning an authors name and asking for clarification or myself. What I see instead is people TELLING US WE’RE WRONG because they read something somewhere.

That is a completely different scenario than what you are describing. If some skinny newwb tells me I’m wrong in my approach…even though I can look in the mirror and SEE that what I did worked, then yes, they likely will get flamed…and for lack of common sense, they deserve every word of it.

Well said. I see these beginners acting like that in almost every single thread. They are convinced that, even though the guy speaking to them may be bigger than the author they just read, that the big guy is an idiot because he didn’t use enough big words to convince them it isn’t “BRO SCIENCE” (whatever the fuck that means now).

I don’t see people getting flamed for simply asking a question. But if the question being asked has been asked 50 fucking times in the last 2 months, MAYBE just MAYBE they deserve a little flaming for not looking around the damn site first before making a new thread.

If someone won’t even put the time in to learn their surroundings, why would they put the time in the weight room to make any significant progress. It is a sign of laziness…so why the hell would we waste our time on lazy fuckers?

I don’t blame Prof. X at all for making this thread.

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen tiny little dudes on here talk shit, post a pic of themself, or themself with their girlfriend? and expect people to be like “d00d j00 r sw0le!! LOL!”

There was a kid in the powerlifting forum that was 14 years old who photoshopped himself into a PL meet with a DL bar loaded with 600 lbs.

Someone had a bicep growth thread awhile back, and some dipshit seriously posted that 21’s were the only way biceps would grow at all, “Trust me breh”. And a kid awhile ago that said “anything above 15 inch arms is too big” who later posted in the steroid forum about how he was going to run a cycle of “Epistane!!?!!”

You can be sarcastic all you want, but in the end, you’re still a small little bitch with a big ass mouth and LITTLE EARS.

Your question wasn’t the problem. Every jackass who jumped in that we hardly ever even see in this forum is who the problem is.

The guy who made that statement about spinach is a prime example.

Most of these jackasses barely even lift weights but feel the need to make themselves known in every BODYBUILDING thread.[/quote]

SORRY PROFESSOR X. I WILL NEVER POST IN ANOTHER BODYBUILDING THREAD EVER AGAIN LEST I TRY AND MAKE MYSELF KNOWN, WHICH I ALREADY HAVE, IN A RATHER HILARIOUS WAY I MIGHT ADD. I WILL NEVER POST MY HARMLESS OPINION ABOUT NOT LIKING SPINACH OR ANY OTHER FOOD EVER AGAIN. MY BAD ABOUT NOT HAVING ENOUGH MUSCLE FOR YOU, I TRY REALLY HARD.

Was this a joke?

You aren’t spinach boy so if this isn’t a joke, why do you think I am talking to you?

Lol, do you have links to these threads? I haven’t seen them and they sound awesome.

Edit - and lol @ “spinach boy”, that’s damn funny.

Thats the one where the guy says “do 21’s best thing evar for bicep growth”. he even lists his dad as a reference.

x2 on the powerlifting one

As Professor X’s shoulders grew bigger, the chip inside his shoulder (for lazy and uncommitted bodybuilders) grew as well.

What race is the chip? I could easily have a very mild mannered WHITE chip on my shoulders as opposed to a “bear-like” wild BLACK chip.

^ Id like to also say when i seen that pic of you in your HUB a while ago i thought you looked just like Johnnie jackson.

While I appreciate the sentiment, I have nothing on Johnnie Jackson. That dude is probably carrying a good 30lbs of muscle on me relatively speaking for height. Some of those pros just look UNREAL in person.

When I first joined this website Prof X tore me a new internet asshole (lol). I didn’t appreciate it at the time, and for a while I didn’t like him, but looking back now it really made me realize how retarded I was being in regards to my approach to building the most muscular physique possible. I needed to hear some real talk and Prof X happily obliged, haha. Definitely would not be where I am now if no one had done that, just consider it tough love.

X is the bomb. Period.
