I know someone who squats and deads on the same day - but one is light weight many reps (technique) and the other is heavy weight few reps (max) and he alternates which each workout (2x per week).
interesting about the gluten free maybe bringing on allergies for people who are sensitive. i’ve been thinking about trying to cut gluten, too, for reducing inflammation having recently learned they may be connected (thanks vege!) but first i’d need to look into what foods contain gluten :-/
Delt triad(seated)

Am I doing this shit right? It’s kind of my own shotgun routine. We’ll see…I will start taking pics again too! And measurements and all that.
20 min treadmill, keeping HR 120-130…mostly right above 130 which equaled 6.0 incline @ 3.1
FML that was boring!!!
And also FML, cause theres this new peppy trainer She’s also a zumba instructor and admittedly is very good…but now she is training people. shoot me. I realized that I’m competitive with myself, but I’m not competitive with others. I’m not a salesperson. I’m not outgoing, loud and obnoxious…I can’t even fake it. I certainly don’t like competing for a paycheck. fuck that. I don’t even know why they’ve kept me on as ‘trainer,’ when clearly I’m not trying very hard to make the gym money.
I’m mostly gluten free, with the exception of having something every once in awhile…pasta and cake are like my kryptonite…
The site of it alone makes me weak.
And I’ve read of heard that you don’t truly have an allergy or sensitivity to something and if you completely get rid of it, then your to become sensitive or have an allergy to it!
Personally I feel better without it…and when I was growing up I really DID have an intolerance. So my sneaking suspicion is that you don’t just grow out of something like that. Granted I’m not puking when I eat it like I used to, but I still don’t feel well with large amounts.
I only found this out from my mom 2 years ago when I was researching hypo-thyroidism and its’s relation to food intolerances…[/quote]
Hi Betty, sadly that’s not the case for me…I’ve always been allergic to one thing or another. I went to the health-food store and got this stuff which is a combination of feverfew and stinging nettle…simply amazing!! I’ve been symptom-free for a couple of hours. I also learned that many a times, the things we crave the most foodwise, are the things we are allergic to. Case in point, me and cheesecake…I’m lactose-intolerant. I’m not saying this is always the case but it’s worth looking into.
I’ve been ‘gluten-free’ for about five days now and I definately feel better, less sluggish. I do eat some quinoa PWO, so I have not completely eliminated it
To be continued…
About your plan, I did squats and DLs on the same day when I did 5 3 1 with great results, PRs left and right and fat loss…WIN and WIN!! Nothing wrong with that but that is completely up to you… Again, if you split it, you have the benefit of a day deadicated to deads, still a win-win situation…
Food allergies for me if it is so, would definitely have to be the white stuff…and did you say cheesecake?? a love of mine but not craving it constantly.
Ink- ya, more weight less reps on the tops sets I think…fuck if I know. I was going for the burrrrn…I felt cool doing it, does that count?
And ya, SCREW that new trainer…SCREW her! Actually she lives in my neighborhood. I talked to her at the playground last summer when she was 8 months preggo with her second. She’s nice, just really talky, kinda gossipy and VERY peppy. :gag: I just pretend I forgot who she was when I see her in the gym. I think she does the same, haha.
Foods today:
coffee
supps/cottage cheese/ almonds
supps/ shake
chicken/peas
ground venison/cauli
almonds/deer jerkey
greek yogurt+ strawberry orange banana powder drink mix, swirled in…OH MY STARS, NOM NOM!!! or I’m just very weird and craving sweets…I told my son to try it first and very dramatically pretended to vomit in the kitchen sink, lol.
i’d be gagging at cheery, too. zumba??? enough said. i guess different clients will be attracted to different personalities, so don’t worry about her too much. with respect to feeling like you have to compete with her, i mean. my gym tends to get cheery types and didn’t take me long to realize i was better off without them. they get a bit of money off people who want to gossip / socialize seems to be mostly what that is about.
I can’t be doing with that, either. I’m an only child and whilst I’m not shy, I’m very self contained. I don’t like to be around loud or overly energetic people and I’m sure you’ll find there are clients who prefer your style to the zumba woman’s. Don’t sweat it.

I can totally hear you talking like that, like an old latina lady talking to her kid.
