Soldiering On

Grind stone For the Win!

Your training would kill an old man like me, Bettie~

<----------------
You’re right lol
Just keep it up Mama

You got in a great workout although you didn’t want to go. Aroo Aroo!
Is that the sound from 300? I think so.

Good training, MiM. Is that a three rep PB, then? If so, grats.

No, its not a rep PB…back in Sept I got 135x5

And in August I got 125x6

June I got 115x10 and so on… the highest recorded squat was 155x3 but I was a tad bit heavier (Nov 2009) NOT parallel though!!
…oh well…smaller now,and managed to maintain some strength…

Only now, I want to build up to burn it down!!! RAWR!

Nikki- I understand…but I still want to lose these last 10-15 lbs. I’ve decided that I will do so, even if it takes til the end of the year. :frowning: I’m tired of hard core dieting. At this rate I coulda trained for a bb’ing comp with the proper direction.

Hey Edgy- with plenty of mac n cheese I’m sure you could keep up

Solid training MiM, keep it up and you’ll be PL meet ready in no time

And leaner AND stronger isn’t impossible AT ALL.

DO IT!

LWI!

Its a given that she trains with me, hehe…she’s my buddy, wherever I go SHE goes!

(remember those dolls? haha!)

Your little’un is going to be a tough woman some day! You’re obviously setting a great example for her.

The noms look pretty good too.

you should know better with the cocoa nibs - there is no substitute for chocolate! except for maybe mocklate, which is what i eat when i’m desperado for chocolate (cocoa powder, sugar, a dash of milk, make into sludge and eat with glee). I can’t keep proper choco in the house for obvious reasons :frowning:

hahahahaha!!!

i do the same but use more milk and call it a mug of cocoa. it is basically a mug of sludge, though, heh. i refuse to make mugs of cocoa for other people on the grounds that ‘i don’t know how you like it’.

HAHAH! “I’ll see you at the finish line!” HAHAH! So cute. You have the sweetest voice btw. Sigh…can we spoon please? Sorry, had a moment there.

Meanwhile, I can’t think of a better way to tire your kid out (ha!)! The neighbors must be like “honey, come get a look at these two.”

Great job on the training! Leg day was stellar! I’m surprised you could walk after that.

Ugh! you’re just reminding me how I need to get my food in check too. I’ve been eating WAY too much for my little furnace. Grrr…thanks for the kick in the ass MiM!

And yes, you can do it!!

I do remember My Buddy - creepy, weirdo dolls…shudder

kid sister! kid sister! …i wanna ride on a lil tricycle with a friend all the time!! :frowning:

your diet looks great!..mmmmyumm

Okay, I lol’d picturing this.

LS- how did you progress while you were on that program?
[/quote]
Honestly I didn’t do the program long enough to really kno whow well it worked for me. I know I did improve in my deadlift and bench. The high rep bench days were interesting. I was improving on my number of reps each week.

I ended up switching away because some of the movements weren’t the safest for my knee and I don’t think I understood the whole work up to a 3RM concept. I’m the kind of person that needs it written out set by set which is why 5-3-1 stuck with me.

However, if I had healthy knees and continued on with the program I’m pretty confident that I would have made progress.

On another note, I loved the tire flipping videos. Soooooo cute!

Tire flips look like cardio I could get into!

<3 my little girl so much’s!!!

she’s so funny and cute, even when she’s pissed off, LOL! I don’t know where she gets half the stuff she says…probably sponge bob, haha…

LS- ya, ‘working up to a 3rm,’ is kinda tricky/weird. I guess not going to complete failure,
leaving some in the tank and stopping when the bar slows? I can see an over enthusiastic person getting hurt that way though.

So I have an awesomely dorky retarded question. If your protein powder has this big long amino acid profile of (like MD does) is it really necessary to consume extra bcaas, glutamine, etc…
And I don’t know what the difference between 500mg in 2 pills vs, 2,120mg in 1 scoop.

I take enough pills as it is. Is extra overkill? Unless you decide you don’t want to drink your protein that day.
