Wait, you dont mean they think YOU are a bodybuilder right? That MUST be a shitty gym.

A gym is no place for an adolescent attitude. That is the EXACT REASON more people do not attend gyms. Do not bring that silliness here.

Scanning through the threads I see the adolescent remarks from GetSwole far outweigh the few intelligent contributions made.

From what I have read you have the ability to provide worthwhile advice, yet you consecutively provide only a smart one liner⿦ are you trying to up your post count?

You make it sound like he’s a troll. Some comments draw that kind of response, and since when did so many people become such pussies that every time someone makes a quip they become attacked for it. In many situations, including the one you commented on this sort of thing is more than appropriate, it is an important social response. Without it people falter because they think they’re hot shit when they’re really just a big fish in a small pond, or blind. Your attitude is what leads to douche bags who achieve nothing and expect a pat on the back for doing what should be expected.

Ah, you have touched on one of my pet peeves. I cannot stand Liberal pussy policies such as those enacted during the “every answer is right” Clinton era?. But that is another forum.

Your gains are not remarkable or surprising. If anything they are RIDICULOUSLY typical of any newbie who started training and eating properly even semi-consistently.

Here at Warhorse a NASM CPT just arrived and has been helping me touch up my form while under the bar. At Speicher I trained with a gentleman carrying 3 of the 8 NCCA accredited program certifications and a gentleman who was on the Raiders practice team. At Arifjan I took both Weight Training and Body Building to fulfill my required university electives.

The eating program I posted on my program thread is the same one I have been following for the past three years. All I did was adding BCAA??s and a protein supplement before the gym.

My body needed a shock to break the plateau and The Neumann Fitness workout (I like the name by the way) is providing exactly that. You received your much needed shock from the V-Diet and after reading YOUR ENTIRE THREAD I have recommended the diet to two others who are purchasing the supp package today. That in itself is a tribute to the changes you made. Like I stated before,
you have the ability to provide worthwhile advice
And again, I provide worthwhile advice on a regular basis. However, look at the posts that the guy who I was responding too has made, and you’ll see he’s flamed in virtually every thread because he’s a dumbass. You only picked me out of the crowd because I flamed you in another thread. Either way it’s really neither here nor there, you continue your Neumann Fitness Workout and I’ll continue to flame when I decide to flame, and provide advice when I decide to provide advice.

Mind you much advice is passed around on these forum’s via PM…don’t judge too quickly.

Dumbass ??? watch yourself buddy

Hah, or what your gonna kick my e-ass?

keep guessin…

You’re gonna call me out from the stage when you win the Olympia and break all the current world PL records?

I’ve actually narrowed my goals a little bit. Im trying to break Ryan Kennelly’s bench record. Training starts tommorrow. Im tired of being a micro-manager in the gym. Im just going to go All-out on the bench until I cant use my arms.

Maybe you’ll finally get some chest size.

So I take it your headed for powerlifting.

Might want to still be smart about your training…or you just go all out on the bench until you cant use your arms. Whatever.

GetSwole, looks like all the, um, great new members really love you…

triple-10,
If you plan on dominating the powerlifting world, or whatever, I would highly recommend that you find a real gym with a rack. As far as I know, there aren’t any feds that use smith machines for competition.

Its his avatar… If he had a Texas Aggies or New England Patriots avatar I would know that he was an intellectual giant without even reading his posts.

what’s wrong with smith squats? i see many pro bodybuilders including them their routines. i do them and my quads are coming along fine.
There’s a powerlifter in my gym who I recently saw squatting 485lb ass to grass on the smith. He is still alive and doing well so I see no reason why people bash the smith so much.

There are also several very big dudes in my gym who do front squats on the smith.

These fellows may be doing something ‘wrong’ but they are the biggest in my gym and it’s obviously been working for them.

Hah, I really attract their attention don’t I ;}

And to the poster about me, I think her point was he’s gonna have a hard time find a PL contest that uses a smith.

"The advantages in the machine are in the control, the rigid limiting mechanics that protect injured rehabbing shoulders, chest or tri’s. Neat gadget for partial pumping movements, isolation and improvised strictness. Great for front squats and split leg squats. Nice change of pace to get away from bench press domination.
"
Pulled that from Smith Press

A very overlooked and excellent point. While I have sneaking suspicion that Buckeye Girl and I wouldn’t have much to say to each other outside of weight training she’s right about the Smith and powerlifting. Outside of rehabbing an injury it isn’t going to do much for people training for strength sports
