Smelly's Log

2 days of racing

Saturday two 5000 meters.
Sunday one 1500 meters and one 5000.

Overall I finished mid field.

I have to refine my training, I have the power, I have the acceleration, I have the endurance. I just lack that tiny bit of top whack speed… I need to have just that extra 5 percent.

I’m hunting the T-Nation site for this…

On a side note, I did managed 10 uphill sprints, 2 more than last week, and increased the distance. T NATION WORKS!

Gildas

Raced 42km on Sunday…

And sucked…

I totally missed the start of the race by nearly crashing twice during the first corner. By the time I had my composure back; i was dead last and out of the running.

So I used the race as a training session and caught up a lot of guys, and despite doing 8 of the 11 laps alone, finished in front of the elite ladies. Not so bad. Quitting is never an option.

I will be racing again tomorrow (2 42k races in 3 days) and will give it my all to avenge myself!

I am going to and more free weights training into my routine, I?ll keep ya’all posted!

I chose those because mass gain is not the primary concern, and out of respect for the guy who wrote them…

I have to carry the weight during the races! I can assure you no “big men” ever win a 30 or a 42k race! Yet I cannot be totally dry, below 8% body fat, I need high energy levels. So picking an’ choosin’ ideas from these articles is not totally moronic!

And anyhow most of these “figure competitors” bench far more than i will ever have to. But my legs will be doing anywhere from 2800 to 3500 reps with two contractions per rep for a hypothetic race time of 1h10 minutes. And these reps are not constant, you have to cross over, sprint, jumps, attack, counter attack and do a front split over the line at the end at speeds above 45km/h. And sometimes during the rain. And cold. And wind. And you fall, lose blood, skin, you cramp up and yet keep going.

The last time I gave up I was having “grey out’s” because of the pain and the heat.
So, quite frankly, I do not think I am any less “hey ho manly O”, for looking at what the ladies are doing! And getting inspiration from it. And yes being the raving womanolic Heterolic I am, I do get great pleasure looking at these goddesses! But fear not, I am far more intent at “I’d Hit that” than at getting implants and eyeliner!

I cannot transpose cycling training per se (yet I do about a 1000k per month on the bike) because I use far more leg and core muscles, and I have no bike to carry me! My legs do.

I will look into you suggested articles with great care, thanks a lot for the tip, it is sometimes hard to find the info you need in this vast site.

For the record, it’s how you eat that gets you big, not the program your on.

Sorry about not posting more nude men… This is Nicole Begg, another world champ. I do not aspire to be like her… But to be with something like her, or her.

A bit of news…

The training is hard to hold. Especially RESTING so I gain what I have worked for… But results are comming in.

Right now I’m 20th in France non pro skater. And I feel I can improve at least five placings until the year is done. I won a small race, my first ever. Winning by putting a lap on the entire field in 15K felt better than sex. Not that has stopped me from getting way more sex than I used to before T-Nation  .

And my team PHC placed 7th out of 550 teams at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Roller. I still lack a bit of top end to play with the biggest and baddest, but I have never pushed uphill with such ease. Pro where cowering behind me, only to pop out on the flats…

I am allready refining and thinking out my entire training for next season. I need to get my winning on!

Here’s what my face looked like two days after the crash… But the photo does no justice, it looked worse in real life!

I was walking around with my face caked in mud and blood for a couple of hours before I sensed i was scaring people… It did not stop me from chatting up girls.

And here is a cool link, enjoy:

Long time no post…

Well I’??ve been training a shit load this winter, putting serious mileage on the bike, but little skating, just what’s needed not to loose technique… Basically trying to get a shitload of endurance so my cardiovascular would not be my limiting factor anymore.

I have changed brands of proteins, and now use two different types of whey compounds: one for mid morning and afternoon takes, on for the “just before bed” take. And it seems to work, my aptitude to recuperate from training has gotten way better.

I try to put in two or three sessions of upper body weights for general well being (and for the fun of it), this helps me push aside weenies into the bends and get more attention from the ladies (when you lift you are better looking - full stop).

Results - posted a 9th place in the first marathon of the French Inline Cup - my best ever by a mile. Could have had a 5th place if I had a brain. Next stop is the podium.

Now for problems - I need more endurance/power in these muscles (see pic) I don’t want big, I want power! Back of the leg and top of the thigh are the main problem areas, the calves respond very well to electro-stimulation.

The wrong picture is posted above… Whatever…

This is the pic with problem areas, on a side note I have been working a lot of my flexability so I now skate with my bum scrapping the pavement… FASTER.
