Slow & Controlled or Explosive?

I just started doing CW’s ABBH I.

When I’m doing the 10 x 3 on bench press, I try to be explosive and, in doing som I feel as if I’m using momentum during the lift. I’ve lifted this way in the past and had results.

As I’m thinking about it (and starting training again) should I be more slow and controlled with the movement? Or should I focus on lifting the heavy weight and just push it up (since it’s only reps of 3).

i say explosive.

im not sure about this but i think that slow and controlled will build more muscle mass whereas explosive is more strength oriented.

If you’re getting momentum, you might want to up the weight a bit. Sounds too easy.
