Is he there for all of your workouts? How does the whole trainer things work? I’ve only actually seen the one at my gym and they seem to be more like large expensive counters and timers. What’s an actual trainer like?

No,I only train with him once a week and on that day we do alot of non-traditional stuff. Most of the time he comes up with them and sometimes I’ll put in a request for something I’m not sure of. I know the expensive counters and timers you’re talking about…those are great for beginners ![]()
Still haven’t gotten into the hang of my new program. I got off work so late that I decided to just hit the eliptical for 30 minutes. It was better than nothing. I wasn’t about to start to figuring out plate pushes in the gym at that very late hour.
what is you rnew program like? yeah…tyring to do plate pushes around in a busy gym would irritate the crap outta me… especialy if there are weirdo guys there like before ![]()
My new program is TBT and very metabolic which is just what I need because I’m starting to feel like a lard ass.
How’s your training going?
Today’s training
Warm up,
Seated cable rows: 4x6(100)
Alt. Standing shoulder press: 4x9(20)
DB bicep curls: 3x7(15)
Rope cable tricep ext: 3x7(25)
Sprinter sit-ups 3x18
SL froggers: 4x20
Speed step-ups: 4x15

So, I’ve definately gotten stronger. The last time I did trap bar deads at a weight close to this, it was 225x3x2 before I crapped out.
In between, I did single leg glute bridges, DB squats, stability ball V-ups and bent knee reverse hypers for a good 8-10 reps.
Cable pull-throughs: 2x15
Sled dragging:
1x45lbs
1x55lbs
1x105lbs
1x130lbs
Sled pull throughs
4x20(130lbs)
My lower back will probably sue me tomorrow. Great workout, though. It’s nice to see progress. Maybe 315 isn’t that far out of reach.
nice workout! way to go on the dead lifts!!! you definitely can get to 315, word up ![]()
Thanks, Sindie. Haven’t maxed out in a while, so who knows… You still doing GVT?

Straight Arm Reverse Raises: 3x14(10) This is very humbling.

Lateral raises:2x10(10)
Seated rear delt raises: 2x10(10)
I was gonna run sprints this morning but they hadn’t opened to gate to the upper field where the running track is. I’m debating going later on today but I am kind of tired. During the week, things get so hectic, I rarely get a chance to sprint. We’ll see how this week goes.
gvt’s over for me–but i shall return in a while to do it another cycle. i noticed some nice gains ![]()
but i got bit by dog last Sunday and my left arm was pretty shot for a few days! hopefully this next week i’ll be 100% ![]()

Nice to hear you made some gains! Sorry to hear about the dog bite. How exactly did that happen?

i got chomped on my arm! right on my inside elbow area thingie. i 'm a vet tech, and work with animals who are pretty much pissed off and hurt , so a Great Dane just let me have it ![]()

Thanks, OG. I’m learning to love planks. I used to when I was kickboxing because they were a staple, now…not so much.
Thanks for stopping by.

Holy crap! I’d probably be traumatized for a while and not show up for work at least for a couple of days. i got bitten by a dog in the 6th grade and that did it for me with dogs. I love 'em from a distance.
Today’s workout:
Ok, in my defense, my gym has no aerobics room and they have those weird rubber floors, so I can’t do plate pushes. So instead I jumped rope for 12 minutes, KB swings (tabata 4 minutes). I did some swiss ball crunches, V-up complexes and reverse crunches.
jump rope is hard! way to go! now i wanna double dutch ![]()

Double dutch is fun!! I love jumping rope! They made us do it every day when I was starting out in Muay Thai, now it’s just second nature.
