BTW, I borrowed that duffel bag full of sand. It will be empty when I return it.

Sweet! I’ll be over to watch. I got some new 3D glasses.
I hear it’s a pain in the ass to get Pro Tan + sand out of cracks.
So, I need to reevaluate, life’s getting crazy. I’m gonna take a minute off from 531, just for a minute. I’m addicted to it, so I won’t be away for long.
Meanwhile, I’m going to do TBT, 3 days a week and one day of sprints. What I like about this program is that I still squat and deadlift at the beginning of each workout, but the reps are in the 10-12 range. There’s alot of single leg work, which has its benefits.
Today’s training looked like this…
A1-Squats 3 x 12(95)
A2- Cable rows 3 x 12(85)
B1-Bulgarian Split squats 3 x 10(20)
B2-Flat bench DB press 3 x 12(25)
C1-Single Leg curls 3 x 8(40)
C2-Incline offset DB curls 3 x 12(40)
D1-Reverse crunches 3 x 15
D2- OH tricep extensions w/ rope att 3 x 12(20)
My sympathies that life is crazy. I hope it gets un-crazy soon.
Like you, I do a total body workout three times a week and feel that its working for me. Maybe at some point I’ll go for strength gains only, but not yet.

Thanks, Kimba. It’s crazy in a good way, so I’m embracing it. TBT is great, it’s a nice change.
The highs and lows of strangth gain are very addictive. When I hit those PRs, I can’t wait to go back and hit the next one and when I don’t, I REALLY want to go back!!
Today’s words of wisdom: Fuck TBT!!!
I’m having one of those days when all you want to do is throw around some heavy shit.
Today’s training:
Cycle 3, Week 3-ish
Deads: 185 x 3, 195 x 3, 205 x 3, 225 x 3, 245 x 4(PR!)
G’mornin’s: 5 x 12(95)
Hanging leg raises: 5 x 15
who had their money on four days? I lost, mine was on 3…

Verry funny, Claire…lol.
It was horrible…like a forced vacation. I lost motivation to go to the gym.
I started to eat peanut butter and wontons.

At the same time? Interesting combo.

Beats rice cakes, any day.
Today’s training:
This morning I decided to go to my school gym. Haven’t been there in a while…holy shit, they have alot of new stuff…cambered bars, trap bars, tires, a heavy bag… Needless to say, I’m cancelling my other gym membership.
Anywho, training…ah yes
CNS was asleep, big time! I don’t do well at 6:30am in the morning, especially squats.
Back Squats
115 x 5
135 x 3
145 x 3
switched to front squats:
115 x 3
125 x 4
125 x 3
accessory work: Leg press + leg curls

that’s such a good story that the gym got MOAR TOYS. it’s usually the opposite with gyms taking shit away.

Thanks, deja. I know if I ask around, there must be a sled and a prowler somewhere on this campus that the rugby team uses. If not, that’s my next toy.
Trap bar is the shit. It really helped me with my form when I started to deadlift.
Definately gets the ‘good housekeeping’ seal from me.

Soo my training has suffered a little but for a good cause…I have a new 9 week old addition to the family who has been keeping me busy, all weekend long.
She came from the shelter sick so we’ve been keeping the vet very busy and very rich. I’m also crate training her and boy, it’s been a pain. It was necessary, especially after she chewed the adapter cable of my laptop almost in half.
Finally paid off… last night she slept and I slept…
Training will resume this evening.
That is an incredibly cute little monkey. Name?
That is cute. Hope she’s healthy now. Her coat looks nice and glossy so you’ve obviously done a good job with her.
Thanks, guys. Her name is Zeti. She’s adorable, except when she’s full of the wickers and trying to chew up everything and everybody ![]()
The latest victim was my printer cable and my boss’ daughter.
!!! oh!!! she’s a love!!! how much fun are puppies!
real fun especially when those lil needle teeth bite your toes, i’m excited for mine to grow up a bit:P
she’s adorable!!! and yeah, i’m on the smae boat with the crate training, ![]()
