Happy New Year, to you ladies!
I woke up to Thibs’ article on the modified Warrior diet. I’m all smiles; it’s about time it got some recognition. I’ll definately be trying the modifications he made.
We’re snowed in here…Atlanta is not equipped for 5 inches of snow, let alone ice. So no school, no gym, no work. The cabin fever kicked in after a couple of movies, cleaning the house from top to bottom, and doing all the laundry. Yesterday, I had to venture out, made it a full on shopping day.
I finally got the NSCA videos for my CSCS certification. I plan to take my exam sometime in the spring so that I can work or intern with someone in the field. After my exam, I’ll muster up the courage to contact MR or someone close by.
Just saw the article - i’m still doing warrior too and loving it. Not sure about Thibs MAG-10 recs tho…i mean, technically your night meal should fuel the next day’s workout, even if its late in the day - or at least that’s how I conceptualize it. But I’m a cheapskate and a supp-phobe.
Good luck on your exams girlie! don’t be a stranger!!
Hi Maschy! I feel you, I also try to keep it as natural as possible, that includes staying as far away from dairy as I possibly can. I’m definately allergic. Never hurts to try; I’ve been itching to try MAG-10, anyway.
I’ll give you the short version since I’m in class and my ADD is kicking in really bad.
Slipped on ice, fell; tried to break my fall with my arm…bad idea.
Wrist injury, x-rays showed no fractures (phew!).
Went to sports chiropractor, got adjusted, kiniesiotaped and sent away for 5 days. Got worse…off to see hand specialist. Fingers crossed, hopefully without further injury to carpals.
Meanwhile, lifting has been modified to only legs and back shit that doesn’t hurt wrist (me and benching were just not meant to be :-H )

oh silly, you’re sposed to break your fall with your ass!
cool lookin pic, tho.
let us know what the specialist says! (besides the fact that you’re a puss
Missed that memo…haven’t had to worry ‘bout fallin’ on my ass in a while. We hardly get any snow.
Turned out to be an avulsion of the joint capsule, even worse. Since the carpal bones are poorly vascularized, they said it will take months to heal.
I had to wear this SUPER-ghey wrist brace for 2 weeks straight...well, was 'posed to, rebelled and took it off after 4 days.
Wrist isn't 100% but I've been lifting with caution. Pulling is fine, pushing is another story. Back squats were agony, so for now I'm working the front squats. OHP is out of the question if I still plan on being a chiropractor anytime soon.
End update.

how’s school ??
Hi!! School is school…hard, busy but fun and rewarding. Getting closer and closer to interning which brings me closer and closer to graduating.
I’ve gotten the go-ahead to lift, so I’ve been lifting for a couple of weeks now.
