Congrats!
Good stuff mate, thats a big pull!
Ahhhhhhhhh shhiiiiiiiit!! Congrat-u-fuckin-lations. That’s a killer ratio of BW to bar weight.
Well, that’ll probably put you in the top 30 Powerlifting USA’s top 100 at 165.
Do you have a video?
Here are the top 10 raw deadlifts in the last year. If you don’t compete you definitely should, that lift is fantastic.
This list comes from Powerliftingwatch.com which is an awesome site.

Impressive stuff, do you have a video?
you’re basically a liar till you get a video, no offense meant but its just facts… but if real you shouldn’t give a fuck what other people think and congrats.
Well done, vid would be cool.
very nice very nice… specs. any gear (as in suits), what style, hitch it? etc etc
Congrats. Raw or not- 585 is a slamming pull for a 165. Take that to a meet and you’ll be pulling more than a lot of 198s and 220s
sorry no vid…i dont usually carry a camera to school…i can describe my workout tho
after i warmed up i put 500 on the bar and did 2 sets of 6
then 2 sets of 2 with 550 which i have never been able to do before
so i went ahead and put the 6 plates on out of curiosity
not because i really believed i could do it…
it came up easy untill about an inch past my knees…i fully believe it took 45 seconds to crank it the rest of the way up…
after i did it i slamed the weight down and kicked the shit out of it…and screamed…alot…
i wasnt suited i just had a belt on…obviously
state competitions are next week for my school…think ill do good?
no hitching btw
oh and yea my friend is a state champ at 220 and he did 585 for the first time right after me…
damn bro, thats awesome, its incredible that you did that after 2x6 at 500 in addition
good luck with state comp. i tend to think you’ll do very well

Is that for all weight classes, or just 165?

Just 165,
OP good pull, good luck at your comp.
Good pull man. Hope you save some more energy for your meet pull than you did with those 2x6 sets
…Maybe if you stay fresher on warmups you can pull 600.

Am I reading this right? after doing 2 doubles with 550…the number 11 all time deadlift for your weight class, you decided, just for the hell of it, do pull 585, the number 6 all time for your weight class?
When you say “school” please tell me this is college and not high school. If you say your in high school I’ll either call you a liar or I’ll die a little on the inside, not sure which.
Seriously though, if this is for real, awesome work man. Wanna give us a brief synopsis of your training history?
