Could not not do cardio. My swimming, running and MA are as much for my head as the body.
You wisdom knows no bounds mate
Burpees again tonight as I continue on the road back to 100 unbroken. Got to 55 today and then broke the rest up to get to 100. Lungs were proper gassed. Got them done in 11 mins. Not quick but a good effort considering the gym fatigue.
My kindred spirit. Speaking my language.
Little to no soreness again. Few minor niggles in my right leg and hip but mostly caused by too much driving and sitting at work.
Squats tonight will be a triple at 140kg and then 97.5kg for a 20+ set, I already know its going to be horrible so now I just need to get on with it.
Moved the 80kg of sand from my broken bag to my new sandbag tonight and added 20kg to take it up to 100kg (220lbs). Just trying to pick it up and put it in the shed was a workout. This bag is longer than the old bag so it’s going to take ‘me some time to figure out how to best pick it up. Tomorrow workout will be fun …. Not !
Ignore the label that says 114kg (250 lbs) that is the max. I have only filled it to 100
Friday 2nd December- volume week 3

Shite tonight just total shite, no physical or mental power. I could have done more but back was hurting (moving the sandbag was harder than I thought). Decided to shut it down and live to fight another day.
Clean n press

If the aim of volume blocks is to leave you feeling wrecked then this session did a great job.
In hindsight filling the sandbag and trying to lift and move it before I went to the gym was a mistake. It felt so hard that mentally I was weak before I even entered the gym. Oh well still worked hard.
I am loving this new gym more every time I go there.
Squatting with an Eleiko bar tonight…don’t mind of I do.
Damn you need to be strong to even load the weights in this gym. 50kg is 110lbs for my friends across the pond
You inspired me to look at proper powerlifting gyms in my area. I found one. 15mins each way from my house though. But it is super tempting, especially with the New Year’s Resolutioner’s impending infiltration of my very cheap, cardio equipment-filled gym.
I would say go for it. Or at least arrange a walk around with one of the team and see if you like the feel of the place.
First workout with the 100kg (220lbs) bag. Just practiced trying to pick it and stand up with it today. Did 20 mins and think I did 11 reps. It is not easy and I need to get a lot stronger. Game on.
Its so hard. Now try shouldering that bad boy!
Lol I am a fair way off shouldering it. The bag is so long when I try to pick it up length ways it gets caught between my legs and I can’t lap it. I now have to learn a new way to lap and clean it.
karate end of year presentation and family picnic at the local park today. Lots of games for the kids including a big tug of war, sensai and some days versus the kids. Got roped in to helping (pun intended). We ended up 2 to the kids and 2 to the adults, was a lot of fun.
It is now 7 hours after training this morning and my hammies and glutes are cramping. Damn you sand bag from hell. !!
May or may not have done something to my left bicep. But it’s ok because my left forearm and elbow are already fked anyway. LOL
Sunday afternoon burpees. Did 20 rounds of 1 to 5 pumps burpees and broke up each round with some rows on the rings. Great upper body pump. It was 33 C today, so worked up a good sweat too.
Bicep soreness the @TrainForPain would be proud of. If you want to hit your biceps hard forget barbel curls just try picking up and holding a heavy sandbag.
Had me
