Damn and I was hoping not knew a secret to making them easy :joy:

Got in some more burpees today, did a little intensity interval session. 35 secs on 10 secs off for 20 rounds ( 15 mins all up). Did 7 burpees per round and just stood still and breathed in the rest time. Actually got the burpees done around 25-27 secs each time and just used the extra time as rest rather than more reps. 140 burpees in 15 mins.
Really worked up a sweat and got the heart pumping hard on this one. I like this format, where I get to go fast for a short period and then rest.

Monday 14th March - week 2

Squats

Hit in the gym today. Really happy with first set, smooth good depth, just nice reps. Not fast and certainly not easy but quality reps.
The other 3 sets were a fight but got the roes done.

Bulgarians
60 x 8 x 3 sets (132 lbs)
These are the devils work. Massive quad pump.

Db bench press
40 x 8 x 4 sets
Laying down holding the dumbells is like visiting a chiropractor, back clicking everywhere. Presses were solid though.

Pull ups
BW - 3 x max
Reps - 10, 9, 7

LHappy with it overall tonight, squats were OK, the Bulgarians were solid but they sucked, db bench was good and pull ups were acceptable. Overall I would say it was a win.

More burpees training tonight. Did another interval session - 35 secs on 10 sec off for 15 mins. Working on pacing and breathing.

Then my boy asked if he could do some burpees, so I did 100 with him, 50 burpees each piston style. Always fun to train with the little man.

Wednesday 16th March week 2

Ass was super tight in the warm ups again. Bloody Bulgarians!! Pulled slowly so I didn’t break my butt !! Breath was a struggle on the last couple of reps of each set. Power was there but couldn’t pull full throttle because of my glute/hammy tightness. Still got it done.

First set it always crappy. Young bloke I usually say hello to comes over while I am resting between overheads and says ‘do you deadlift and squat in the same session?’ I tell him no I am doing overhead and he just shakes his head and smiles. Nice to know even my poverty overhead is considered a squat weight.

Still doing these without a belt and sleeves. These were hard. Lower back was very not tired. Only got 7 reps on the last set and stopped because the 7th rep was a good morning.

It was very hot and humid in the gym tonight. I don’t usually train 2 days in a row in the gym but with family visiting the misses had organised something for Friday night so I had to move things around. Was a little sore which impacted squats but didn’t effect bench at all. In fact bench was very very good.

Recovered from my session with a big bowl of spaghetti bolognese and my wife’s home made plum crumble with custard. Damn I feel as full as an egg.

@T3hPwnisher Apparently lifting heavy weights, doing burpees and carrying around bags of sand makes you look like you lift weights. A little bit LOL

More burpees tonight, continuing to work on pacing and breathing.
Did an intervals session, 35 on, 10’sec rest and did 6 burpees each round for 20 rounds. Total 120 burpees in 15 mins. Good session, hard work without being stupid hard and blowing a lung out.
