Strongman Saturday today, worked on sand bag to shoulder and burpees. 10 rounds of 1 sandbag to shoulder followed by 10 burpees.
Trying to work on getting my hips a little low to help with the clean. Like @carlbm mentioned. Much better this time, managed to get all of them to the shoulder.
Looking much better. Getting your hips through the bag. No stopping you now!

Reminds me of the stone lift and also Grecco-roman wrestling in a way. I’ve really got to do some of the sandbag. Can do those in the PI. Burpees are an old friend. Use to call them Squat/thrust back in High Scholl and in the military. Good work.
Yer the sandbag is really fun Harry. It’s funny how many different styles of burpees there are and what people call them. For me a squat thrust doesn’t have the push up in it. What ever you call them, I get down and up a lot and do lots of push ups.

Got in some more burpees on Sunday afternoon. Still working on pacing and breathing. Did 30 mins of 35s on10s off. 240 burpees in 30 mins. Felt pretty good and could have gone on longer at the end.

Hard but got the job done . Love squatting more that 3 plates, always get funny looks from people.

Sucky as always but if you want to get better you have to do the stuff you hate. I don’t like this exercise but I love the pump I get in my quads especially around the knee.

The first 5-7 reps feel easy and then it’s like I gain 20kg in weight on the next rep.
Very happy with the session to tonight. My back is not 100% and I was a little worried going into the squat. But i just got a good strong brace and it was fine. Dumbell press moved real nice, the Bulgarians were sucky and when I got to the pull ups I was just plain tired. Good session.
@wiseman83 used a little visitor frustration in my session tonight and boy it was a good one.

Same here, I guess being heavier doesn’t help.
More conditioning tonight which means more burpees.
Tempo session again tonight, this was 37 sec on 12 off, 7 burpees per round for 20 rounds. Total 140 burpees on just over 16 mins.
Breathing wasn’t as controlled in this session but that was to be expected with the increase in volume. Worked up a good sweat and pumped some blood around. Good workout.
Already getting nervous for tonight’s deadlifts. The sets are 4 sets of 6 at 170kg which I did 4 weeks ago, but in this block the tightness in my legs after the Bulgarians on Monday is something else. Legs, glutes and lower back are all tight as hell which is going to make the pulls a real challenge tonight. I will still get the work done but I already know it wont be nice.
