Is that close to or at a PR? At RPE 8 it seems you might be able to hit 75.

No not near PR. I have done 75 x 3 and more than 80 for a single. Just not recently so it is an age PR!! Lol

Wait, I swear you already pressed 80kg?

Nevermind, read your post

Gotcha. At any rate, you are in manly territory now. Unlike certain others who won’t be named but struggle to read the post immediately above his own.

In my defence, my finger was already tired from reading other posts.

I am just trying to motivate said person. In my own special way.

Misses cooked up curried lamb shanks in the slow cooker. Had them write mashed potatoes and broccoli. Great way to recover after training.

Forearms are also looking decent there too Simo!

Bit of a failure on the Bulgarians stopping at 8, need to be hitting 9 to keep messing with @dagill2 and @Cyrrex - but you are one of the few people on this forum who regularly do decent unilateral leg work so I’ll let you off.

Thanks mate. I’ve always had pretty decent forearms (can’t grow a bicep for love nor money). It’s either genetics or the years I spend playing tenning as a junior.
I will have to talk to coach and ask him why the 8’s ? Lol

I’m in a similar boat - pop eye genetics!

Thursday 10th September- week 4

Bench press
Bar x 10
70 x 5
90 x 3
100 x 1
110 x 1
120 x 1 (264 lbs) RPE 11 griiiinder
115 x 3 (253 lbs) RPE 10
110 x 3 RPE 10
110 x 3 RPE 10
Felt wrecked tonight. One less rest day between squats and this session then I normally have and I felt it. Bench was just horrible, no power, no technique just nasty!

Squat
Bar x 10
70 x 5
90 x 3
110 x 2
127.5 x 6 RPE 8
127.5 x 1 crashed and burned !!

Bad doms In the quads and glutes tonight. Squats were horrible. Legs started cramping hard after the first set. Unracked the bar for set 2 and legs were shaking. Managed 1 sketchy rep and then had to re-rack it. Totally cooked. Legs cramping badly, no more squats tonight.

Row
87.5 x 10 x 3 sets (193 lbs)

Wow tonight was basically a train wreck. One less rest day and just a build up of fatigue after many many weeks of training all came together tonight and the body said no-more and waved the white flag!! One more session in the block tomorrow and then a well needed deload. I am going to be switching to a restorative block after this one and boy do I need it.

So judging by this, you are still stuck under the bar and logging this while waiting for someone to answer your desperate shouts for help?

Grinder or not, that is a big lift, just go with it.

Lol that is basically not far from the truth, It went up but I couldn’t get it on the J hooks. So it came down and pinned me. Had to put it on the safeties and crawl out !!

lol, you got stapled and did a roll of shame on a successful lift? That’s a new one.

Yep it went up and I held it powerlifting style waiting for the rack command. When I went to rack it I didn’t have the extra inch I needed. :joy::crazy_face:

A problem I have personally never experienced, for the record.

My forearms have never looked as good as when I was a single teenager with internet access.

Because of all the climbing I did, obviously.

Fucking @Cyrrex beat me to it.
