Simo - The Red Shoe Diaries (Part 1)

My brief (sorry) experience with them taught me that they are excellent teachers of how to set up for sumo as well.

If I still had my old ones I’d mail them to you.

The heart was for the pun, just to clarify. I’m sure the advice was solid as well.

Maybe one day.

There’s a FB group called Aussie Equipped Powerlifters. Often has decent second hand gear.

Is it as legit as second hand knee sleeves though?

That’s pretty wild, you’re the opposite of me. Yours is a better side to be on for lift frequency fo sho.

I think it is all about balancing the intensity (load) and the volume (sets and reps). My coach has been adjusting this throughout the last 6 months so we get the frequency without over working anything and getting too jacked up.

Your coach knows his stuff. How’d you find him?

Putting the Masters in Marketing to good use I see

Bachelor’s in Journalism, but they’re kinda the same any more…

Just a mate (online mate) from another forum. He competes in powerlifting, not at any great level, but he reads a lot and knows a lot more about this stuff than me. Best thing is he listens, he reads my training log and understands what I write. He will often pick something that needs adjusting long before I even know it’s going to be a problem. In reality it’s probably easier to do this for someone else than for yourself. We tend to be our own worst enemies when it comes to training because we usually want to push harder and ignore any signs that will slow us down.
