Training wise? It’s not, honestly. Only missed one and a half sessions so far I guess, but I’m not planning to do tomorrows either.
I work in food retail, so shits been pretty real for the last week or so. I just typed out a load of details but TL:DR: it’s pretty physically and mentally draining right now at work and at home. Training has been skipped so I can look after the people who need me. Next week is supposed to be a holiday (which we’ve cancelled) so me and the missus will probably try and support our respective colleagues a bit and just take some time to do our own thing. I’ll probably try and take the chance and do daily sessions then.
Working in that industry would not be easy right now. Try to stay safe mate and do the right thing for you and your family.

Home gym envy
Are you stuck for training? Do you have any weights at home ?
Mate I’m this close to dropping $500 on some hevy as DBs minimum. Probs more and fair chance more equipment beyond that.
And or offering sexual favours to gym owners I know to get some weight plates
Honestly I’m probably doing alright compared to many people. Nothing has really changed for me life path wise and I have support to fall back on. That being said lifting is part of my self care routine to make sure I keep on living the best life I can. I may have a mini depression relapse but theres going to be a lot of people in much darker places right now or soon.
There is usually home gym stuff to be found on marketplace and gumtree but I guess everyone is searching for it now. Some gyms are hiring equipment.
Was talking to owner of McQuinns just now. Gym is most likely kaput but he is looking to rent out equipment to people. He’s concerned out the mental health of many of his members and I’ve been thinking about this myself and for my mates. Definitely saves me some money on weight plates because those are deadly expensive.
Legs and hips were sore today. Just laying on the couch last night they were throbbing and I couldn’t get comfortable no matter what position I sat or lay in. Spent the morning at home with the kids whilst my wife worked, which gave me an opportunity to move around a bit and get some blood through the legs. Sitting at work is not that comfortable but I’ll survive. I already not looking forward to Thursdays squats whilst at the same time looking forward to the challenge of the session… I am weird !!

I called the local fitness store yesterday and he said they’re slammed. They do a lot of commercial business but the retail side has exploded with the gym shut downs. One guy just had to have the same elliptical he uses at the gym. It cost him $8000! ![]()
I almost asked him for his customer list so I could take advantage of the used equipment sales that will come when this is all over.
