Yeah, it is only a matter of time before they close everything down. Virtually every government is going through this same process, and things move quick all of a sudden, especially when they see the numbers start to spike (which, if I recall correctly, it appears is starting to happen in Australia).
To be fair, he didn’t exactly say he had his neighbor’s permission. Considering the times, he might just be planning to finish him off and take his precious resources, home gym first on the list.
So maybe you actually DO have a neighbor like that…
He had knee surgery today so it wouldn’t be hard to chase him down !
I should clarify that I have full permission to use the gym and even have my own key. Spoke to the neighbour tonight to check in on him after surgery today and told him I was expecting the gym to close soon. His response was “you’ve got a key mate so use mine whenever you want” Quality

Good session tonight, wasn’t feeling too pumped for it tonight but got it done without any issues. Quads still a little sore deep in the muscle. Lots of massage, hot baths and protein over the next few days.
Yeah, I gotta admit that I have been looking around and pricing a few things. If this was even 6 months ago where I was deep into 531, I would probably already have pulled the trigger on some version of a home gym. Lots of pros and cons to consider. Cost, space, what my current “goals” are, and certainly how long the zombie plague is even going to last.
Did you read what @Voxel shared with me in Mark’s log? That Imperial Study or whatever they called it? Until there’s a vaccine, they think we’ll need to cycle through two months of “close the world” and one month of conservative living. This could go on for awhile.
I have heard and seen references to it elsewhere, yeah, but have not read it.
I would have to be pretty convinced of an extended lockdown before investing in a whole home gym. Would have to clear out an entire room - which I could, but prefer not to. And then if things really are that bad…not sure I should be putting a few grand on that sort of thing. It’s a dilemma. In the meantime, I can get a lot of mileage out of bodyweight stuff.
I’ve told the missus that if this goes on beyond the two-week self-isolation we’ll be under once we get back from Scotland, I’m going to have to spend a few hundred quid on a bench and squat stands and a bar. Fortunately our second bedroom is my office and that’s where it would go, so she’s not overly bothered. In fact, she was surprisingly receptive. I’m suspicious.
Those of you who already have home gyms are going to make an absolute killing when this dies down and people like me sell all the stuff they bought.

Good session tonight. Putting in the work for all those people who can’t go to the gym right now.
Your deadlift setup routine always gives me a chuckle. I can’t quite tell if it is a method for getting air and bracing, or a mental preparation to get yourself psyched up. Or both.
