Simo - The Red Shoe Diaries (Part 1)

Nice lifting the other days Rob, Quality mate.
And the virus is really getting to the media. It’s media affected panics, if they just have said something like wash your hands, stay 2 meters from others, don’t spit on others and we’ll all be fine.
We all getting it, but we just have to avoid we’re all getting it at the same time.

Thanks pal. I am just trying to catch up with you and the other big boys. I really want to to a point where repping 4 plus plates is normal.

My lower back is pretty locked up today. Just muscle tightness but boy is it tiiiiiiiiiiight. Busy day today, sons gymnastics this morning, the his birthday party at a climbing centre this afternoon and then my daughters karate grading tonight. Will need a hot bath and a good sleep tonight.

I’d love to watch some things live but last years wasn’t amazing or nothing. Where does juicy expo deals at?

Because of corona virus the festival still has a decent chance to be called off and ProRaw is being moved to PTC HQ.

Just saw her pro raw is relocating and the Strongman also has contingency to move to another venue. Sucks but what else can they do.

Bring strongman to IR so I can watch. Can’t be arsed driving to Frankston when they’ll probably hook up a solid livestream

Not enough room at IR for the Strongman. Maybe an outside venue !!

Cricket coaching the little kids (ages 5-7) this morning. Body was still a bit still but felt really good to get it moving. Back way better today and quads still sore but will be good by tomorrow. Beautiful sunny day so will take the chance to relax and top up my vit D.
Looks pretty likely that the Arnold will be cancelled down here. Pro Raw powerlifting has already announced it has moved to another venue and limited the numbers of spectators. The Arnold pro competitions have been cancelled. Just waiting to hear that the expo and amateur comps will be cancelled too. Totally understandable under the circumstances but still a bit annoying !!

I dunno I’d go for expo deals and watching the competitions but outside of that it’s a gathering of big egos and narcissists. Miss me with dem toxic vibes

You are right but I still like going mainly because I take a day off work and do my own thing without kids or the misses. Even if it’s cancelled I am going to take the day off and just train in the day instead.

Enjoy. I got an assessment due on Friday but I’ll probably be spending the day of or after at Iron Revolution also. Always a good time at the gym

I am pretty jealous of all you folks that still have gym access. No closure in sight?

Nothing yet, only large gatherings of 500+ people are being cancelled. Things are changing everyday though, only yesterday we now have to self quarantine when we come back into Aus if we travel overseas. There will be more restrictions to come but hopefully they will allow small business to continue to operate. The number of cases here is still pretty low, just hoping it stays that way, but really I know it won’t.

University is shut down while they transition to online as much as possible. Is actually not recommended by the government yet

Body feels ok today. A little soreness but way better than last week. It is amazing how just a slight drop in intensity and overall volume can make you feel so much more recovered. Coach seems to have got it right again.

No training tonight and honestly glad for the extra day of rest. Gyms are still open here and my daughters gymnastics and karate are still going too (for now).
Expecting the restrictions to worsen over the next few weeks which may mean I have to move back into the neighbours home gym. It has everything I need to get the work done to shouldn’t impact me too much if I have to use it. No idea yet if the comp will still go ahead in May but I will continue through the training block and peak anyway.
