I don’t think this is the case for us. We’re not jerks. I think it’s just natural to look forward to where you want to be instead of backwards.
If anyone that’s behind me wants to train with me or pick my brain then I’m all for it. I just haven’t encountered anyone serious in real life. Those encounters are all on here.
The funny thing is, a lot of people who don’t lift think someone is big if they have abs and a bicep vein. Like you said, it really is relative. It’s only freaks like us who call ourselves averagish even though we’re pretty big relative to most folks. I’ll always feel small when I look at Ronnie Coleman

All up a great session. It was a public holiday in Melbourne today so I trained a little earlier than normal which I thought might effect my rhythm but it didn’t seem so have any impact. Squats moved fine (maybe a little slow) and everything else was just a great big pump session. Quality
So with all this talk about whether I have gotten bigger and not feeling too different. I have found a photo of my at 17 years old. Just like @Frank_C at that age I thought I had muscles and would wear a tank top or no shirt at any opportunity. The second photo is from Feb this year. The photos are nearly 29 years apart but I can deff see the difference !!
I agree and strongman screwed my perspective kinda. I wouldn’t call someone big because they have abs or a nice biceps. If you aren’t somewhat tall and wide, you’ll never be “big” to me. You might look jacked/ athletic/ like you lift etc. to me but not big. Strongman just has some freaks running around, even in amateur levels.
Context and perspective surely matter. I constantly see articles about such and such celebrity showing her “abs”, and the ensuing pictures show some skinny girl with literally zero abdominal muscles showing. I mean, they look fine, that isn’t the point. But what looks Big, Ripped, Jacked or Strong surely depends on context.
The above commentary provided by a short, old, baldy, fatty small person who can be described using none of those words.
Nah I called myself slightly homo.
It was an ironic variation of today’s seemingly standard saying “no homo, bro” which is added by young men when complementing other man.
