Thanks mark. I still felt that I needed to get back a little more. Felt like the bar moved slightly forward as it broke the ground. Maybe lats need to be locked in even more. Still happy with it though. For an older bloke who really only does this to challenge himself and stay sane, I’m progressing and starting to feel strong(er).
Body feeling well and truely beat up today.

140 x 1 squatted it deep but got totally out of shape. Still got it up but it wasn’t pretty

These felt a little shaky too!! Second set was best.

Pulls were a little slow, felt tired doing these last. Lower back was tight after squats. Good to see what these feel like at the end.
Not sure how I feel about the session tonight. I hit everything but didn’t have any energy. Not sure if it was because the clocks changed for summer time yesterday or just fatigue. Feeling a little more nervous now !!
That’s a lot of work for one session!
1 week out from comp so I’m just doing what the coach tells me. It’s actually a lot less volume than the last few weeks. But it was still tougher than I would have liked.

I know you are right and so far Wisey (my coach / friend) has been spot on with the programming so I am just going to trust the program and enjoy the day. That really means I will probably be fkn nervous as hell and the day will be a blur.
A good friend of mine once said to me its good to be nervous because being nervous means you give a sh!t about the outcome. That means you will strive for your best no matter what.
