Silva vs. Belfort

IMO it’s obvious that the front kick was actually not a teep but rather it was influenced by the training of none other than Sensei Segal. Vitor Belfort was marked for death the moment that he stepped on deadly ground with Anderson Silva. A teep is designed to keep you out of reach but the front snap kick is always designed to be out for a kill. Once the executive decision was made for Belfort to fight silva he was thrown into the belly of the beast and was marked for death. It doesn’t surprise me at all that with the aid of the glimmer man Sensei Segal that Silva was able to hit the kill switch leaving Belfortpistol whipped and half past dead.

WTF! CRAZYNESS!

what comes next, Fedor learning helicopter split kicks from Van Damme to counter Werdums BJJ?

Oh man, that’s why I love MMA, that shit has soo much angles and dramatical (comical?) depth…

That’s what Vitor gets for being a jackass and trying to standup with silva.

Hopefully GSP isn’t as stupid as Vitor is. Chael Sonnen showed everyone Silva’s weakness. Why the fuck didn’t vitor try taking it to the ground?
lMAO… you must be one of the guys who believe all the hype.

Seriously, after all the fights he’s had after all the upsets he’s caused, why would you think a chump like sonnen was ever going to beat him let alone expose him?
You have to understand something about brazillian culture, they have ulterior ways to lead you to believe something and then throw you a curveball.
Silva not only can plan that, he can execute it all. He was never worried or hurt with the pitter patter of sonnen and if you think Silva, the guy with the best footwork and athleticism, intelligence and raw ability in the whole UFC is gonna get man handled by lackluster sonnen, then you’re naive.

He knocked forrest out with a jab, played soccer with franklins head, made Henderson look like he’s never fought, made maia look like he doesn’t belong in the ring or like he’s never rolled in his life, and played with sonnen to prove a point and destroy his spirit (which has what has occurred with his disappearance off the face of the earth lol) and now exposes vitor for the clumsy, lucky over aggressive yet moronic fighter he is.
You do know a front kick is one of the most basic kicks in stand up lol. Wtf is the calibre of the ufc? It’s a joke. The ufc is not about mma as a sport. You hear dana spray the ‘sport’ aspect all the time but they’re an org, nothing less and they don’t give a shit about mma. they only care about their name. MMA will always be regarded as a joke with people like the ufc trying to monopolize it and throwing around bs hype like they did.

The only person to beat Silva is going to be a devasating purist Thai stylist with great ground and wrestling. He will beat him with sheer raw power of the dutch/thai fight style if he can avoid being taken down.

Otherwise no one will come close to him, not even pin up boy gsp (as much as I respect his work ethic).

Then we have Jon Jones… also raw talent and he will do great things! He friggen jumped over Bader in the fight hahahah awesome!

Bader again is the product of bullshit hype the ufc creates. he actually believed he is something lol. Sick of the same old ‘he’s got great wrestling’ lines. He’s crap, over sized, inneffective and for all his size weak as piss. Jon jones showed wiry strength and technique far surpasses the image.

i’m over the ufc and it’s bullshit and if I hear goldberg say "that’s what makes this sport so great’ or that forrest executed a good kick, when forrest can’t kick to save his life, I’m gonna smash the screen. Shittest commentator with no fucken clue about the fight game, just a good parrot who went on a diet and got a tan.

^LOL. You mad brah? About 73% of the above post wreaks of alcohol abuse.

Did you have to IMDb those movie titles or was that from memory? Wathcing the fight with friends I wondered aloud if that was the same technique Seagal used on Kelly LebBrock.
Tried to do it from memory and failed lol, I know a lot of them but I had to double check some of the titles. Machida should take Chuck Norris to every fight with him

No actually I’m a big history geek and really appreciate knowing the original source…So thank you!

hopefully the pic works this time

BTW, Joe Rogan made an excellent point re: tactics/strategy (depending if you think it’s micro or macro level)

If you’re not afraid of the takedown then you can really unload on your kicks.

Think he said this during the Cerrone fight. But it was applicable to jon jones and silva as well. You see it in Shogun also, he has excellent sweeps (gets back up from his back very well) and thus really lets his kicks go. Cerrone has a great guard, silva as well, and BONES has his wrestling to fall back on so fucking dares you to shoot on him.

great guard + excellent standup = Hard to kill

…another lesson from Sensei Seagal

Wow did someone just say Forrest can’t kick?

Yes. I disregarded that entire post. As for the kick, I had to laugh at Silva for attempting to credit Seagal for showing it to him. We’re all idiots now. lol. Push kick, snap kick…it’s the same: BASIC.

Frame by frame breakdown of the kick.

Have you ever watched him fight? Do you watch MMA at all? Don’t you remember that one time he fought Rampage and… oh wait.

Get killed by a P4P great and all of a sudden you’re a can, never mind holding wins over 3 former champs.
Aussie Davo wrote:

Yeh bro, please demonstrate his kicking prowess. Cheers

Oh and dont use the lame kick of a layman reporter as evidence. his kicking in the octagon sucks balls as he point kicks like it’s a karate tourney.

Hype has nothing to do with it. I saw the fucking fight. Maybe you missed it. Sonnen hit Silva more times in the first round than the rest of silva’s career combined, and by the end of the fight set a new record for punches landed in the history of the UFC.

lol, look up maladu. a term brazilians love to use and apply. Sonnen is a chump, fought much lesser guys and got subbed many many times over and over.
Do your homework on him.

You srs?
Tell you what, get back on your medication and read your post again, brah.
If it doesn’t sick in, ask your doctor for stronger shit.

Peace out.

yeah humbles gotta be trolling… thats just… um… impressive analysis. I especially like the part where you said silva let sonnen beat him for 4.5 rounds because he could beat him whenever he wanted sense thats the brazilian way… O.o… oh and that sonnen is a chump was also impressive… have you seen his wrestling credentials.

also forgive me if I missed the finer points and miss quoted a bit not even going to pursue the rest of the post.

Great card… impressive kick… I honestly didn’t see that coming at all… thought the round was gonna be dragged out… almost missed it lol.
