anyone else think its funny that they’re working hard so they can get chicks, but the chicks really like personality more than a buff guy. its like they’re digging themselves deeper lol.
nah that’s b.s, working out gets you chicks 100%, I started working out in grade 9, at 135, hit 180 in mid grade 10, and in class i would pretend to stretch (like an overhead tricep press) to show off mA GUNZ, long story short, i got laid 1 month later cuz the chick “i wanted to get with you cuz you had big arms” BAM, gettin jacked gets you laid /end
Edit: although i do understand you’re point and the irony involved in the video, just had to brag for a minute
I can’t believe most of your comments. I mean this short documentary is to illustrate the "idiocy’ of the culture, how well marketing has brainwashed the youth, how little everyone is taught on proper nutrition, and how despite 60+ years of “physical education” in our schools the youth still know absolutely shit about training and exercise, let alone for reasons of size and strength.
The funniest thing is when you were 16 and first picked up a weight you probably ALL sounded like these naive young men. We ALL did. Just because we know more now should simply tell you that next time you see one of these one-egg-white wonders in a gym doing something you think they could do better …MAN UP…and teach them.
You learned somewhere down the line something better, teach it. Don’t be a critic.
How do you propose we teach the folks in the video?

You can’t teach them! You think these kids are actually going to listen to what the average bodybuilder or fitness guru has to say about nutrition and everything that has to do with building a better body? I have tried to approach kids like this and most of them just shrug and say “whatever man”. They pretty much think they know it all already. These kids are going to have to learn on there own through trial and error like most of us did. Yes, some will listen and learn much faster than others, but a majority of these kids think of themselves as invincible. Once they realize that working out 3hrs everyday doing bench and curls and spending hundreds of dollars on supplements doesn’t work, maybe then will they ask for help or guidance. I went through at least 10 boxes of Cybergenics and countless hrs in the gym before it hit me that most of these people that were trying to give me advice knew what they were talking about. You can only teach someone that wants to be taught, and most of these kids do not want to be taught.
this video is kind of sad. Someone should have come along side of a couple of these kids to help them understand what’s possible, what they want to do, and help them set realistic goals to shoot for. Lots of insecurity and motivation for the wrong things. throwing up won’t get you to any goal quicker and supplements and not drugs and short cuts.
There is no substitute for hard work. When was all the squats, deads, and lunges at? They should have a follow up. I hope some of those kids find this site and really get it.

I agree with what you’re saying. But mostly I was being a dick, because AllTraps said we shouldn’t criticize these people, we should help them. Well, these people are in a video so A) I don’t think they can hear our criticism, and B) I’m not going to track them down for an educational talk about not being an idiot.
AzCats, you are 100% right they all seem to just want to know what you are “taking” and when you tell them steak eggs and milk they get dissapointed.
everyone else: Don’t be afraid to lend a hand though, because some kids actually need help, just dont be offended or surprised by the ones who dont seem to care.

Yeah, that one kid talks about how you will lose all you gains once you are “off” the protein and creatine. That’s like saying “Shit! If I go back to only eating McDonald’s I’m gonna get fat again”
I’m almost glad I didn’t start getting into lifting until I was out of high school. I’m sure I would’ve been one of those kids. Now I want to watch one about kids in their twenties who think they know how to train. I could be in it.

This is the kind of shit that causes people to have such screwed up views of fitness and nutrition. Wonder what would happen if we educated people properly… then again, I do enjoy never having to wait to squat or deadlift.
HAHA same here, even when I’m in the gym and kids ask me how to get big I’m not sure if I should answer them. They’ll give up soon enough so why should I have to put up with them leaving their mess of weights laying around and taking up time in the power cage (My gym is the shit - no squat rack).
I think it mostly relates to how much commitment they are geniunly putting in, nutrition wise that’ll be none and training wise it will be misguided at best. It took me at least 6 months before I had anything like a “decent training routine” but like, even a few years from now, I’ll still realise I know shit all compared to people just a few years my senior. The voleyball guy at least eat relatively clean and trained with some sort of idea though, if anything he acted a bit more douchy to fit in with the rest.

LMAO @ the kid who aspires to be 145-155 that talks about how to get big and strong by downing single egg yolks. That 4-6g of protein is sure to get you swole in no time.
To make it even worse, he’s drinking the egg raw, cutting the bio-availability roughly in half. So he’s actually getting 2-3 grams of protein.
this reminds me of the type of shit I was doing from 2004 to 2006… after 2 years I got tired of mini strenght gains and started searching on the internet.
