Shoulder Workout Question

The only shoulder workout i feel okay doing is military db press, ive tried front and side raises and i get this really weird grinding sensation in my shoulders, so i avoid doing them

i asked this guy and he said keep your shoulders back while doing side raises, but it didnt help, no matter what i do it feels like my joints are grinding together and shit
what do i do to avoid this?

Stand completely upright, flex glutes and abs, keep chest up and look slightly above the horizon.

Keep your shoulders back and down - try to relax the trapezius.

use light weight to start - 20+ reps

Do not use momentum to move the weight

Try setting a bench at about 30 degrees and sitting high up on it with your feet where your ass would normally sit. Then do your side raises. It helps stop you using momentum I find.

As Petrichor said though - keep your weight light to start with - perfect your form.
