My right shoulder clicks and pops when I move it in certain directions. There is a slight decrease in the range of motion too. It feels like it’s crunching when I do arm circles. I went to a sports clinic and the doctor conducted an x-ray. He sent me on my merry way home because nothing showed up on the x-ray. That doesn’t mean that there’s nothing wrong with my shoulders though. I believe it’s mostly muscular.
Anyway, my questions are:
-
Could this be a rotator cuff injury? If not, any ideas what it could be?
-
What exercises should I do to prevent shoulder injury and what should I avoid? (note: I used to do parallel bar dips like crazy and I used to lean forward to target my chest and anterior deltoids)
and
- Does deep tissue massage help? Maybe I can get massages in place of myofascial therapy.
ps: My shoulders are pretty rounded and I have kind of a head hunched forward posture.
Thanks guys!
