I’m not sure the body ever adjusts to that…I get them EVERY time I do these exercises, which is very regularly. Usually go away in a day or two.
I used to get sore shoulders from that, my hands used to hurt when i did back and arms. They no longer ht as my body has adjusted. Maybe you can put a pillow on the pad or wear a heavy shirt, some people use pads on the squats bar for this same reason. I think it’s called a sissy pad.(not a joke)[/quote]
i dont get sore shoulders, just the red marks. and i will NEVER bring a pillow to the gym just to stop this from happening, it’s part of lifting. my wife seems to think i am too into it if i lift enough to cause shoulder bruising…she just doesn’t get it i guess. it’s just alot of weight focused on one small area (shirt seam)
I get those only after not using that equipment for a while then the first time I use it I get the bruising, next week when I use it again no bruising.
Its really no different than how when you first start BB squatting the bar can cause bruising and feels painful, after a couple weeks of doing it that goes away. Was tricky convincing my GF of this but she believes me now and doesnt complain about not using the pad anymore.
