I agree very much on this. Feels a lot better to get bronze/silver/gold in a competitive weight class than it does to get gold when you’re the only guy heh.

Calgary, It’s not like I live in Ft Mac but It’s close to home and I pretty much cant get time off work to go in october since we’ll be trying to get as much work as we can before we close up for the winter. It’s not like you guys have any 120kg juniors in sask we atleast have connor, and that pretty much it. I’d rather have a very dense wieght category than winning a participation medal[/quote]

Oh ok well Id do the hometown meet aswell. I totally agree about the participation medal. Thats why you can’t narrow down the classes so much and compete against the open numbers and on wilks even if its in your head. A medal is a medal who cares, no ones making a living in this sport so you might as well do what you gotta do to compete for you.

Theres actually a pretty good 120kg raw lifter from regina.

OOOHH I want to go to that festival of strength thing too!! I wonder if I can convince my Pa to drive me. I doubt it… hmmm. Awesome job at the meet!

Moved easy like most of the benches in sheiko. Hardest part was the sets of 6,8,10,12 since I suck are doing reps with bench and dead I prefer to train them with doubles and singles.

i hate those pyramid days man the sets on the way back down are always crappy, like you i am awful at reps lol

It seems like the more I log what I eat I get to think why in the fuck am i putting this shit into my body. It’s like putting gasoline into deseil truck It just kills the end and you feel like shit. It’s been around 30 degrees here with about 60% humidity so getting enough water in has be a pain in the ass im hoping all the salt will help retain some of that water. Going forward I’m going to try and stay above 231 cause there’s no way in hell im going to be able to be competitive at 105 being 6’ tall. Especially since it looks like my legs are exploding from shieko

I’m not going to do the PM session my hips are feeling beat up I might cut some of the volume at the beginning of next week to allow more time to recover. I also need to spend more time with mobility work cause my hips after the meet have been really immobile

Well seeing how people have been talking about me in this log I figure I will join in… Hahhaha… Anyways, good work at provincials. You hit some good lifts and have a lot of progress left in you. Smart training will always yield results.

haha thanks. I’ll need to pick your brain before you leave, since your brain can obviously retain more information than mine can

Sent in my entry form for my meet on Oct 13 at the Calgary festival of strength. wieght in is 3pm so it’ll be interesting I’m not used to lift at 5pm or later.
