My name is Ryan Pelletier. I Used to post under Prodiboy but I no longer play video games so I’ve deciede that I no long want to use that name.
I’m a 105/120/120+kg lifter in the CPU which is the Canadian affalite of the IPF. My last meet was in July at Alberta Provincals in Medicine Hat where I totaled 482.5 kg and had a spread of 182.5/120/190 kg which I personally looking back am not happy with, but it was a good place to start with for my first meet. I’m Currently prepping for the Calgary Festival of Strength on October 13 where I’m hoping for a 200/140/215 kg spread for a 555kg total. My training leading up to the meet with be Sheiko based with running #32 for the last 4 Weeks running into the meet.
Session felt extremely good. First time I’ve pushed my deadlift in a while. The 30lb pr felt easy I feel like it would have been easier If my hips hadn’t had shot up right away. Looking forward to hitting a big fat meet PR in 4 weeks the taper off is coming and my body wants it.

Bench Felt slow but I’m pretty sure my body was done after the dead lifts since I hadn’t really had anything in my system all day.

I played CSS EXTREMELY competitively up until a year ago, I decided that playing video games for 12 hours at a time or getting up a 3am to play in some match wasn’t worth it anymore. Also as a full time student that works a full time job and trains like I do, I had to make a decision. And well I chose to be the educated meathead instead of the jacked gamer

The squats felt slow though out the workout but 385 had nothing really wrong with it besides it moving slow. My upper back stayed tight and I didn’t feel like a fishing pole. They were done beltless and without a heel.

I was very very surprised I was able to hit a bench pr today considering my triceps were cramping and I couldn’t really get a solid arch and I had Gay wrists for most of the training session after about 225.

Overall extremely easy session. There was some nice scenery in the gym today. As alway I took the middle play form and it just some happened that the girls hockey team had to use the squat racks around me so I was pleased. I also got a 4th request to for a strength club at the university so I think I’m going to do it and we’ll see what happens since we got some strong a fuck bobsleighers in during the day. Ordered a 45lb bag of protein for myself today. Also my Vastus Lateralis is starting to look like a wing on the side of my leg + 1 for Sheiko

I’m more then likely going to open with 175kgs at the meet In october so it wont be such a big jump for my thrid attempt. Also I’m still getting stronger. Bench 135kg-140kg
This is a little bit of a stretch but I think if training goes well and I learn to eat somewhat properly the progress should continue. It’s weird to think that I was a 110kg bencher not even 6 weeks ago and I’m already hitting 120kg for a double. It’s definatly the Ice Cream sandwhichs that the secret about 24/week with cake a 2weeks out of a meet. I all seriousness this would be a nice PR.
Deadlift 210kg
The deadlift Oh the deadlift where to start other than It’s by far given me the most problems. It seems the more I train the further away a feel I am from where I want to be 140kgs feels heavy in training but come meet time I was still able to pull 190kgs. This one I definately a shot in the dark it’s not so far off that I dont think I’ll get it but it’s far enough that I’m going to have to work to get it.

I posted this just after my meet about 9 weeks ago about what I wanted to hit in this meet coming in. Since I have a few minutes i figured I might as well post my thoughts on it.
I think that everything that I thought I was going to is about accurate I plan on squatting 205kg but other than that its about right. I plan on opening light with 175/120/190. Which will reach my goal for the meet and qualify for nationals in April. A 560kg total will allow me to choose If I want to compete in gear or not at nationals since the qualifying total is 555kg for the 120kg. Second attempts are going to be 190/130/205 and thirds at 200/135-140/210-215. I’m excited for the meet at least this time I’ll be better prepared for the meet not like last time a 1 week deload before and go. I still need a handler so If your not competing and would like to give me a hand fire me a PM or just post
YO I am trying to plan my visit to calgary for that stengh festival, does it really not start until 5pm? That seems really late, ha-ha. How are they doing to get everything done?!

I really have no idea its supposed to run from 5-11. Weigh ins starting 3pm which fuckin blows but oh well. I still haven’t figured out who is going to handle me at this meet.
