Shaving My Head For the First Time

The schick extreme three is the best in my opinion. I normally get about 5-6 shaves out of each one. The blade flexes and it doesn’t leave much room for error. I tried the other razors but they cut me more than anything.

I agree with this. By far the best. And you can flick the hair out of them without the damn blade flying off. I also recommend King of Shaves gel.

This is blasphemy and does the Mach3 Turbo injustice. I demand you take back what you said and honor the mighty Turbo![/quote]
The Mach 3 Turbo is a fine
set of blades, don’t get me wrong. I couldn’t believe how much ove an improvement they wer over the regular 3’s. Ridiculous as the Fusion seems, it works well. The little blade on the back is great for getting rid of the hedges behind your ears. It’s always been a pain for me with the Mach 3’s since the heads are so big. Also it’s good for trimming.

Anyone tried Head Blade? Saw this in a Walgreens and thought of getting one for me and one for my latest ‘adoptee’ in Iraq.

I’ve been using it since last summer. It’s the bomb. And you don’t have to use those crazy expensive Mach3 or Fusion blades. Just the Gillette Atra (~$10 for a 10 pack).

I may have to check out this …Headblade. I saw them a while ago, but they were sold out. I have very thick hair. We will see how this thing holds up. I have yet to shave with a razor as good as the Fusion.

BAH! Nonsense! I have a Headblade and stopped using it. I just didn’t find it to be terribly ergonomic and I cut my head a few times with it (less than good times for sure).

I am a Mach 3 Turbo kind of guy… but I am intrigued by the Fusion, simply on the idea of that smaller blade being used to get behind the ears. If I cut myself shaving my head, it’s usually the top of my ears and Good Lord does that ever bleed like a mutha.

The Head blade is the best thing ever, I used clippers with no gaurd until last week when I decided to go with the razor, so I called up my friends dad, (who has shaved his head as long as Ive known him for advice) he said “Buy a head blade, its the best fucking razor ever”

I followed his advice, I went to a walgreens and spent $14, came right home and went to work, I got a few nicks the first couple of times but since then I havent had any problems.

it is the shit,

hope that helps

although one of those nicks the first time wound up bleeding excesivly for like an hour, although I didnt notice till one of my roomates pointed out that the back part of the neck of my shirt was soaked in blood, which was fairly entertaining

I dont know…I checked out the website, and the Headblade looks cool, but I don’t know if it will hold up to the Fusion’s 5-blade smoothness and longevity. This last head, I got about 11 face and scalp shaves out of, no BS. The blade on the back is awesome as well. I will probably still try the HB though, since I have used everything but the Schick Quattro.
Has anybody ever used the Bic Metal Shaver? I pulled that thing across my face and it left a trail of bllod spots welling up. I threw the rest of the bag in the trash.

I use a fusion and I love it. The 5 blades kind of reminds me of the geico (maybe) commercial with the razor with all those blades…hahaha, great commercial…

MYTH. Baldness gene comes from both sides of the family.

I also use the Mach3. Before that, I used the Gillete Sensor Excell, which is a useful substitute if you are stuck in a 3rd world country where the Mach3 is not sold.

So that’s why I got a sudden urge to grow a goatee!!

Damn Louie and Dave

Claes

The Headblade is a butcher! I used it for about three months and it is the only time in four years that I have cut my head. I stick with the Mach III.

I havent used a razor on my head in 5 years +. I use a Braun electric shaver. I NEVER get ingrown hairs, bumps or cuts.

Can’t beat the Quintippio! 15 blade mega-shaver!!

LOL!

Mach 3 is the way to go for head shavin, at least vs the fusion.
The fusion does provide ‘less irritation’ but the way the blades are positioned they don’t handle the curves and bumps of yer dome very well.
